Kansas is set to get a pair of important pieces back for its matchup with Arizona State in the Union Jack Classic, and the latest injury report brings some relief for a Jayhawks team that needs it.
According to the report shared by JayhawkSlant, wide receiver Cam Pickett and linebacker Bam Crouch are both listed as “probable” for Saturday’s game at Wembley Stadium.
Pickett was unavailable for the season opener against Long Island (LIU) and was limited in last week’s loss to Missouri, finishing with two catches for six yards. His return matters for a Kansas offense that had trouble putting points on the board against the Tigers. Alongside wide receiver Nik McMillan, Pickett gives quarterback Isaiah Marshall another option on the outside as Kansas tries to keep pace with Arizona State’s offense.
Crouch’s possible return may matter even more. He missed the Missouri game after hurting his shoulder in the Jayhawks’ Week 1 win over Long Island. Kansas brought him in through the transfer portal after four seasons at Boston College, where he posted 107 total tackles, including 52 solo stops, along with four sacks and one interception.
That kind of production is exactly what Kansas will be leaning on against an Arizona State attack that has several dangerous weapons, including wide receiver Reed Harris and running back Kyson Brown.
The Jayhawks still won’t have starting tight end Carson Bruhn or backup quarterback Cole Ballard available.
Kickoff is set for 11 a.m. CT, with the game streaming live on FOX.
