A new Paramount+ docuseries offers an exclusive glimpse into a pivotal season for Kansas basketball, capturing the teams journey on and off the court.

Kansas Basketball to Star in New Paramount+ Docuseries “MADE FOR MARCH”

Get ready to step inside the huddle-Kansas basketball is pulling back the curtain.

For the first time ever, the storied Jayhawks program will be featured in a behind-the-scenes documentary, as part of a new four-part docuseries titled MADE FOR MARCH, set to premiere April 4 on Paramount+. The series will also spotlight No. 2 Michigan, offering fans a rare, all-access look at two of college basketball’s most iconic programs as they gear up for the postseason.

And when it comes to Kansas, this isn’t just any season-it’s one that head coach Bill Self believes is special enough to finally let the cameras in.

“For over two decades, the Kansas Men’s Basketball program has been approached for a variety of all-access documentaries, and I have always turned them down,” Self said in a statement. “However, this is the one moment, with an incredibly special team, where I felt it was finally the right time to let viewers behind the curtain.”

That’s saying something, coming from a coach who’s led Kansas to national titles, Final Fours, and countless Big 12 crowns. For Self to greenlight this kind of access now? It speaks volumes about how he views this current group-and the journey they’re on.

The series promises an in-depth look at the Jayhawks’ pursuit of another national championship. Expect a mix of game footage, exclusive interviews, and raw moments from both regular-season matchups and the pressure-packed Big 12 and NCAA tournaments.

But it’s not just about what happens on the court. MADE FOR MARCH aims to show the full picture-pregame rituals, locker room dynamics, and the emotional highs and lows that define a championship run.

Produced by Paramount Sports Entertainment and Religion of Sports-the media company co-founded by Tom Brady, Michael Strahan, and Gotham Chopra-the project has some serious storytelling firepower behind it. Executive producers include Jesse Sisgold and Jon Weinbach for Paramount, and Chopra, Ameeth Sankaran, Jonathan Schaerf, Collin Orcutt, and Sami Khan for Religion of Sports. CBS Sports and Big Ten Network are also involved in the production.

And if you’re wondering how fans feel about all this? Let’s just say the excitement is real in Lawrence.

John Mendy, a Kansas City native and current sophomore, summed it up like this: “I think it’s cool that we get a little insight into everyday game day, pregame operations of the team. I think we’re going to make a deep run in March, so it’ll be fun to watch us go all the way from behind the scenes.”

That belief in this year’s team isn’t just blind optimism-it’s a sentiment echoed across campus. Sophomore Ali Habila, also from Kansas City, Missouri, sees this season as one of the most promising since the Jayhawks cut down the nets in 2022.

“We’ve got the perfect pieces to make it to the championship,” Habila said. “And I think that’s very exciting to watch and document.”

For freshman Toni Davis, the appeal goes beyond basketball. As someone with a passion for photography and visual storytelling, she sees the docuseries as a way to preserve something meaningful.

“I think it’s very important to capture these moments,” Davis said. “We’re having a good year, too, so it’s definitely important now.”

The rollout of MADE FOR MARCH is timed perfectly with the crescendo of the college basketball season. Episode one drops April 4, followed by two more on April 5. The final installment will air April 18-just after the dust settles from March Madness.

For Kansas fans, this is more than just a documentary. It’s a chance to see the heart of the program-the preparation, the pressure, the pride-all through a lens that’s never been this close before. And if this team delivers in March like many believe they can, MADE FOR MARCH might just become a time capsule of something unforgettable.
