Travis Kelce is turning back the clock in his 14th NFL season, and the numbers are starting to back up what fans have been seeing on the field.
The Chiefs tight end, who turns 37 next week, leads the league with 155 yards after the catch this season and is tied for first in receptions of 40-plus yards. For a player with hundreds of catches and thousands of yards already on his résumé, that kind of burst has stood out enough to draw plenty of attention online.
One Chiefs fan on X joked, “I don’t know if Travis Kelce went over to Europe and got stem cells in his joints or what, but the way he’s moving looks different,” before adding, “Maybe Paul Rudd told him where the fountain of youth is located.”
A reporter covering the Raiders also said Kelce seemed to have found the fountain of youth. The X account Americano a lo Mexicano went a step further, suggesting Kelce had found something better than the lost treasure Ponce de León chased: true love.
“We don’t know what Taylor Swift did to Travis Kelce during this offseason,” it wrote in a translated message. “But Grandpa is completely rejuvenated.”
That line was meant as a joke, but Kelce’s trainer Andrew Spruill thinks there may be something to the idea that Swift has played a role in the veteran tight end’s strong season. Spruill said Kelce had extra motivation to get in shape because everyone wants to look good at their wedding, including him, after he tied the knot with Swift in July.
Soon after the ceremony at Madison Square Garden in New York, Kelce shifted his focus back to football and returned to Johnny O’s Gymnasium in Florida, Spruill told the Wall Street Journal.
And if Kelce looks faster, that’s not just fan imagination. Citing NFL Next Gen Stats, the WSJ reported that his average route speed this season is 11.68 miles per hour, his quickest since 2022.
That has helped fuel what looks like a real renaissance for Kelce. Another trainer who works with him in Florida, Tony Villani, also gave Swift some credit.
“We know if you’re putting a good woman in your life and cutting out some of the nonsense, you’re probably taking care of yourself a little better,” Villani told the Wall Street Journal’s Andrew Beaton. “Good surroundings create good outcomes.”

Tom Bradys Latest Rankings Set Up A Chiefs Debate
Tom Bradys latest NFL power rankings for FOX Sports after Week 3 stirred the usual debate, and for Kansas City, the conversation is less about who sits at the top than who is being watched closely. Brady bumped the 49ers to No. 1 after their unbeaten start, dropped the Seahawks to No. 6 after their first loss, and also praised Brock Purdy while sliding the Raiders into the top five because of their undefeated record.
For Chiefs fans, the bigger question is where Kansas City fits in that pecking order and what Bradys eye test says about the teams chasing it. Any ranking this early invites argument, especially when unbeaten teams are rewarded and a contender like Seattle can fall quickly after one slip, which is exactly the kind of setup that keeps a weekly debate alive around the league. Chiefs Fans Are Turning Another Raiders Home Game Into A Road Test
The buildup to Sundays Chiefs-Raiders matchup at Allegiant Stadium has already turned into another familiar discussion point for Las Vegas: who will actually make up the crowd. Raiders coach Klint Kubiak and defensive end Maxx Crosby both had to address the issue this week, a sign that the noise around the stands may be nearly as loud as the one on the field.
Raiders fans have taken to social media to vent about the possibility of Kansas City supporters overwhelming the building again, and they have been urging other Las Vegas fans to show up and help create some kind of home-field edge. For the Raiders, it is another reminder that making Allegiant feel like their place has been a problem, and for the Chiefs it is simply part of what comes with a road trip that often looks and sounds a little too familiar. Chiefs Linked To WR Move That Could Change Their Ceiling
The Chiefs wide receiver room has been a source of discussion as they continue looking for more firepower to complement the rest of the offense, and that has pushed them into the conversation around Brian Thomas Jr. According to ESPNs Dan Graziano, Kansas City is one of several teams viewed as a potential trade suitor for the Jacksonville Jaguars wideout, a sign that the market for impact pass catchers could get busy.
San Francisco and Las Vegas are also said to be in the mix, which only adds to the intrigue for Kansas City if the Jaguars decide to listen. Jacksonville has enough other receivers to potentially make such a move possible, and for the Chiefs, the appeal is obvious: adding a player like Thomas could alter the ceiling of an offense that still has room to grow.
