Travis Kelce Opens Up About His First Christmas As A Married Man

Travis Kelce is gearing up for an unforgettable first Christmas with Taylor Swift, blending cherished traditions with new family festivities.

Travis Kelce is already looking ahead to Christmas, and this year’s holiday carries a little extra meaning. He and Taylor Swift are heading into their first holiday season as newlyweds after tying the knot at Madison Square Garden in July, and Kelce made it clear he’s eager to celebrate.

While promoting a new fashion campaign, the Chiefs tight end talked about what the season means to him, and he didn’t hide his excitement about spending it as a married man.

“I’m excited for my first holiday as a married man,” Kelce said, via WWD. “I love all the old traditions and can’t wait to start some new ones. I start celebrating as that tree goes up.”

Kelce also took part in a campaign video where stars describe their ideal holiday, and his version leaned right into what fans would expect: football, family and a little humor. He said his perfect setup would include “a night game on Christmas Day,” with his whole family in attendance.

“In this perfect world, what am I wearing? We got any Tommy Christmas onesies somewhere?” Kelce joked.

Another holiday favorite came in a separate campaign video, where Kelce pointed to “my mother baking blueberry muffins” as one of his cherished Christmas traditions.

The timing is different this year, too. For the first time since 2021, the Chiefs won’t play on Christmas or Christmas Eve, which means Kelce will actually be free to spend the holiday at home.

Where that holiday gathering will happen isn’t settled yet. According to an insider who spoke to gossip columnist Rob Shuter, Swift and Kelce are considering bringing both families together because “they think bringing everyone together is the perfect answer,” per the report.

The couple’s holiday story has already had a few memorable chapters. They started dating in the summer of 2023, and Swift made her first appearance at a Chiefs game that September. She soon became a regular at Arrowhead Stadium, including on Christmas Day that year, when she watched Kelce play against the Las Vegas Raiders.

The holidays didn’t line up as neatly in 2024, when the Chiefs played on Christmas in Pittsburgh and Swift did not make the trip.

Kelce and Swift announced their engagement in August 2025 before marrying at Madison Square Garden in July. Their wedding became one of the most talked-about celebrity events in years, and there was also reported drama when Swift was upset after photos from the wedding leaked in October.

Swift has also reportedly been fully supportive of Kelce during his 14th NFL season. Now, for the first time, the two are set to celebrate the holidays together as husband and wife.

Chiefs Offensive Struggles Just Put This Jets Matchup In A New Light

The Chiefs early-season cushion has disappeared quickly, and the timing of their next game only sharpens the concern. After opening 5-0, Kansas City has dropped two straight while dealing with familiar issues in penalties and a running game that has not been efficient enough to keep the offense on schedule. Now comes a Week 9 trip to face the Jets, a team sitting at 2-6 and trying to sort out its own direction.

New York was already viewed as a likely seller before the deadline, which has only added intrigue around the roster. Garrett Wilson has come up in trade chatter, though the Jets have said they do not want to move him or Breece Hall. For Kansas City, the matchup is less about the opponents record than the chance to steady an offense that has looked out of sync at a time when the margin for error is shrinking. [Read more 🡒]

Chiefs Suddenly Have A Kenneth Walker Problem They Can't Ignore

Kenneth Walker has turned the first half of the season into a weekly reminder of how quickly a running back can force his way into the conversation. Through seven games, he has piled up 770 rushing yards and scored 8 touchdowns, production that has kept him on a pace few backs can sustain and put a historic season within sight if the workload and efficiency hold up.

The problem for Kansas City is that defenses are already adjusting, and the recent attention on Walker has started to squeeze his room to operate. To match Eric Dickersons single-season rushing mark, he would need to keep averaging a gaudy 133.5 yards per game the rest of the way, a number that shows just how narrow the margin is now that opponents are making him the focal point. Chiefs Face An Uncomfortable Locker Room Debate Over Rashee Rice

Rashee Rices off-field situation has become the kind of uncomfortable topic that can ripple through a locker room as much as a depth chart. The Chiefs receiver, still in the final year of his rookie contract, filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy while dealing with the fallout from a car accident and related settlements, adding another layer to a stretch already defined by legal and financial strain.

Craig Carton took aim at the broader dynamic around the Chiefs, arguing that the teams wealthiest stars have offered more symbolic support than practical help. For Kansas City, it is a delicate conversation because Rice remains part of the football picture even as his personal issues continue to overshadow it, and the debate now sits at the intersection of empathy, accountability, and what teammates owe one another when a situation turns this messy.
