Tommy Hilfiger may have just dropped the biggest hint yet that Travis Kelce could show up at New York Fashion Week in September.
The brand set off the speculation on Wednesday with an Instagram post congratulating Kelce on his wedding last week to Taylor Swift and adding a pointed line: “Congratulations @killatrav! See you at The Plaza in September,” the company wrote Wednesday on Instagram.
That timing caught attention fast, because Hilfiger’s Spring 2027 runway show is scheduled for Sept. 10 at New York’s Plaza Hotel, right in the middle of Fashion Week, which runs Sept. 11-15.
It also lands neatly between the Chiefs’ final preseason game against Seattle on Aug. 28 and their first regular-season game against Denver on Sept. 14.
Kelce is already part of the Hilfiger orbit. Earlier this year, the company hired him as a global brand ambassador and creative collaborator, saying he would headline its Fall 2026 ad campaign in a partnership that will extend into spring 2027.
When the deal was announced in March, Hilfiger described the tight end this way on social media: “Known for his presence both on and off the field, he brings a new perspective to timeless American style, blending confidence, individuality and a modern point of view,” Hilfiger wrote on social media in March when it announced its partnership with the tight end.
“From the field to the front row, this is just the beginning.”
Kelce also told WWD, “When I met Tommy, we connected over our shared belief in just having fun with it and the endless creativity in self-expression and personal style,” Kelce told WWD.
At the time, WWD reported that Kelce would be wearing Hilfiger in his pregame tunnel walks during the upcoming NFL season.
The possibility of a runway appearance was never completely off the table. When Hilfiger signed Kelce, it did not rule out the possibility that he might walk the runway at some point.
Kelce was in New York City in April for the Hilfiger campaign shoot, and Swift reportedly was with him during that trip. The Daily Mail reported that she waited for him at the Plaza Hotel during the afternoon session at Central Park.
The wedding connection added another layer, too. Kelce and Swift invited Hilfiger and his wife to their wedding, and Dee Ocleppo Hilfiger posted a selfie of herself with her husband on the way to the event.
If Kelce does make an appearance in September, it could mean a front-row seat or even a turn on the runway. He wouldn’t be the first NFL player to do it, either.
Did you see Tom Brady in Gucci?
The Plaza itself also chimed in on the buzz, posting: “See you soon!! @killatrav,” the hotel commented on the Hilfiger post Wednesday.

Patrick Mahomes And Travis Kelce Suddenly Have A 1587 Problem
Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelces off-field partnership has turned into a legal headache around 1587 Prime, the steakhouse they opened together. The issue is a trademark fight over the 1587 name, with a New York sneaker company saying it has prior rights and that the restaurants use of the number could confuse consumers, especially because both sides have merchandise in the mix.
The Chiefs stars legal team has pushed back by questioning whether the case belongs in New York and whether a restaurant and an apparel brand really belong in the same lane. The sneaker company, meanwhile, is still trying to force the issue through the courts while leaving the door open to a friendlier resolution, which means this one could linger for a while before anyone knows how the 1587 brand battle ends. Julian Edelman Knows More About Kelce And Swifts Wedding Than He Can Say
Julian Edelman had a front-row seat to one of the most closely watched weddings in recent memory, and he made it clear he was not about to turn it into a tell-all. The former Patriots receiver attended Travis Kelce and Taylor Swifts ceremony and came away praising the event, while also signaling that the privacy around it was very real.
Guests reportedly signed non-disclosure agreements and were asked to keep phones away, which left Edelman in the familiar position of knowing more than he could say. He offered public congratulations to the couple and stayed on the right side of the rules, even as curiosity around the celebration continues to linger for anyone connected to the Chiefs and their star tight end. Travis Kelce And Taylor Swift Wedding Price Tag Is Hard To Believe
The wedding buzz around Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift has taken on a life of its own, and the latest round of chatter has zeroed in on just how over-the-top the celebration reportedly was. The ceremony was said to have taken place at Madison Square Garden in New York City, with the kind of production values that would make even a championship parade look modest, from elaborate floral arrangements and dcor to catering for roughly 1,100 guests.
Add in custom bridal attire reportedly designed by Christian Dior, and it is easy to see why the event has become a talking point well beyond pop culture circles. Even the aftermath has drawn attention, with items allegedly collected near the venue turning up for sale online, though the legitimacy of those listings remains unclear, leaving one more odd wrinkle in a story that already sounds bigger than most stadium nights.
