A group of Taylor Swift fans turned Sunday at Arrowhead Stadium into an impromptu “secret session,” gathering to watch the Chiefs’ 33-30 win over the Colts after realizing other Swifties had made the same Kansas City trip.
The weekend already had a familiar blueprint for fans traveling in for a Chiefs game. The idea goes: start with dinner at 1587 Prime, the steakhouse co-founded by Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, who is married to Swift.
Maybe order The Alchemy and hope for a celebrity sighting, though that wasn’t likely the night before a game. Then on Sunday, head to Arrowhead Stadium and catch Kelce on the field and Swift in his suite.
That was the plan for several Swifties this past weekend, but they discovered they weren’t the only ones making the trek. Instead of watching separately, they linked up at the stadium and watched the game together.
“BEST SECRET SESSION EVERRR,” a fan named Kris wrote on X.
When someone asked how many people were at the get-together, Kris said it wasn’t organized ahead of time.
“Hahah we all just found out we were going this weekend from the TL and made a group chat to meet up,” she wrote.
For fans of Swift and Kelce, the game-day routine has become a bucket-list kind of outing, whether they go with a parent or with a crowd of fellow Swifties. Sunday’s meetup added one more layer to that experience, as a group of fans ended up sharing the moment in real time at Arrowhead.
