Taylor Swift had one of those weekends that would leave most people wrecked, but she still found her way to Arrowhead Stadium on Sunday.
Swift was expected by some reports to miss the Kansas City Chiefs’ home game against the Los Angeles Chargers because she had a performance in Los Angeles the night before. Instead, she showed up in a suite to cheer on Travis Kelce just hours after taking the stage in Hollywood.
She had already performed at the Academy Museum Gala in Los Angeles on Saturday night, where she ran through “Love Story,” “Blank Space,” and “The Fate of Ophelia” along with her new Toy Story 5 song. That same performance had fueled the idea that she would skip the game, with an insider telling Rob Shuter’s Naughty But Nice, “Taylor loves cheering for Travis, but this weekend is about Taylor,” the insider said.
“He has his career. She has hers.
And right now, hers involves winning an Oscar.”
But Swift made the trip anyway. She was photographed in a VIP suite wearing a red turtleneck sweater, seated with Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark and Este Haim of the band Haim, according to Page Six. She also shared a hug with Donna Kelce when she arrived.
Swift has been a steady presence at Arrowhead since first showing up for Kelce in September 2023, and according to Heavy, the last Chiefs home game she missed was against the Chargers on Dec. 8, 2024, the final night of her Eras Tour.
This wasn’t her first sprint from stage to stadium, either. In February 2024, she played an Eras Tour show in Tokyo on Saturday night, then flew about 5,700 miles to Las Vegas for Super Bowl LVIII on Sunday. She made kickoff at Allegiant Stadium, watched the Chiefs beat the San Francisco 49ers 25-22 in overtime, and later celebrated on the field with Kelce, telling him, “Jet lag is a choice.”

Chiefs Stayed Unbeaten But This Win Raised A Bigger Question
The Chiefs kept their unbeaten start rolling with a 22-6 win over the Chargers at Arrowhead Stadium, a result that pushed them to 5-0 for just the sixth time in franchise history. It was the kind of division win that usually looks neat in the standings and messy in the film room, which is why the postgame report card leaned so heavily into the details of how Kansas City played on both sides of the ball.
Patrick Mahomes still guided the offense to another victory in a game that will count as a milestone in his career, but the bigger takeaway was on the other side of the ledger, where the defense controlled the night and left the Chargers searching for answers. With Kansas City now unbeaten and the AFC West race already taking shape, the lingering question is whether this was a complete performance or just another win that left more to sort out than the score suggested. Eric Bieniemys Sideline Blowup Said Everything About Chiefs Offense
The Chiefs offense looked sluggish in the second half against the Chargers before Eric Bieniemy decided the sideline needed a reset. The offensive coordinator pulled the unit together for an impromptu meeting, a clear sign that the rhythm and urgency he wanted were not showing up on the field.
Whatever was said, Kansas City came out of it looking sharper and moved into Chargers territory soon after. The drive ended with a field goal, a small but useful spark in a game the Chiefs controlled on the way to a 22-6 win. [Read more 🡒]
Travis Kelce's Injury Leaves Chiefs Fans Watching One Big Concern
Travis Kelces afternoon against the Chargers brought the kind of scare Chiefs fans know all too well: the tight end came up with an ankle issue, spent time on the sideline getting attention and then found his way back into the game. For a Kansas City offense that leans heavily on Kelces presence and timing, any hint of an ankle problem is enough to put the focus on the next snap and how he holds up after it.
Andy Reid later confirmed Kelce played through an ankle injury, but stopped short of saying how serious it might be. Former NFL team doctor David Chao offered a video-based read of a mild right high eversion ankle sprain, which at least suggests the injury may not be as ominous as it first looked. Still, for the Chiefs, the bigger concern is whether this is the kind of issue that lingers once the adrenaline fades and the weeks workload starts to build. [Read more 🡒]
