Caitlin Clark’s connection to the Kelce brothers has turned into one of those crossover sports stories that just keeps finding new ways to pop up. The Indiana Fever star is already known as a massive Kansas City Chiefs fan and a full-fledged Swiftie, and that combination has made her a natural fit in Travis and Jason Kelce’s orbit.
Clark has already been on the brothers’ “New Heights” podcast, and she’s spent time with Travis at his wife’s shows in Indianapolis. Now, she’s back in the mix again as the Chiefs get ready to face the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday.
The latest sign of that link showed up Saturday, when X user @nosyone4 posted a photo of the “New Heights” tailgate setup outside Arrowhead Stadium. One part of the display was devoted to the Caitlin 1, Clark’s signature Nike shoe, which was released to the public on Oct. 1.
“Nothing special to see here just a Caitlin 1 display outside of Arrowhead Stadium ahead of the Chiefs game tomorrow!” the post was captioned.
It’s not yet clear whether the display will include pairs of the Caitlin 1 for fans to buy, or whether Clark will make an appearance herself. That should become clear soon enough.
The tailgate, per Hawkeyes Wire, is set for 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. CT Sunday in Lot M at the Truman Sports Complex. Jason Kelce is scheduled to do a meet and greet with fans from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.
The Chiefs and Chargers are set to kick off at 3:25 p.m. CT.
Clark’s shoe has already made a huge splash of its own. Earlier this month, Nike CEO Elliott Hill said the Caitlin 1 was rolled out in 5,000 retail stores across the country, which made it the biggest signature shoe launch in the company’s history.
On the court, Clark put together a big year in her third WNBA season, averaging a career-high 22.3 points per game along with 8.3 assists and 4.0 rebounds. She helped push the Fever into the postseason, where they fell in the first round to the Las Vegas Aces.

Chiefs Vs Chargers Comes With An Arrowhead Twist Fans Will Notice
Arrowhead Stadium gets its usual early-sunday bustle for the Chiefs matchup with the Chargers, and the game-day setup is built to keep fans moving from the parking lots to their seats without much hassle. The team has laid out the timeline, from gate openings to tailgate plans and in-stadium concessions, while also steering everyone toward mobile tickets and cashless payment options to keep the flow around the stadium as smooth as possible.
Jason Kelce is part of the wrinkle in the pregame scene, with a free New Heights tailgate planned outside Founders Plaza as part of the days entertainment. There is also a special honoree tied to the event, another small Arrowhead touch that gives this rivalry matchup a little extra ceremony before kickoff. [Read more 🡒]
Chiefs Keep Getting Linked To The One Move This Offense Still Needs
The Chiefs have plenty of familiar names in their receiver room, but the conversation around their passing game keeps circling back to the same issue: they still do not have a proven elite downfield playmaker to tilt defenses the way Kansas City has in past seasons. Former NFL quarterback Russell Wilson recently weighed in on that very idea, suggesting the next move for the offense could come outside the building rather than from within it, with a trade for a veteran receiver giving Patrick Mahomes another established weapon.
It is the kind of speculation that fits where the Chiefs are right now. They have enough bodies at wideout to function, but not necessarily the kind of top-end threat that changes how opponents game-plan for them every week. With potential trade targets already being discussed across the league, the question is not whether Kansas City could use another receiver, but how aggressive it will be if the right one becomes available. Chiefs Face One Post-Bye Test They Can't Ignore Against Chargers
The bye week may have offered the Chiefs a reset, but Week 6 brings a divisional game that usually sharpens the stakes no matter the records involved. Kansas City is unbeaten at 4-0 and will host a Chargers team still searching for its first win, with the Chiefs leaning on Kenneth Walker III as a key part of the offense while trying to keep the momentum rolling without one of their most important pass catchers.
Los Angeles has had trouble getting much going offensively, and that leaves this matchup squarely in the hands of Kansas Citys defense and its ability to disrupt Justin Herbert. The Chiefs are expected to bring heat and force the Chargers quarterback into uncomfortable situations, which makes this less about the standings than about whether Kansas City can turn a post-bye opportunity into another clean divisional win.
