Hollywood Brown Stuns Fans by Quickly Bonding With Eagles Quarterback

Hollywood Brown Looks to Thrive With Eagles, Connecting Early With Jalen Hurts

Hollywood Brown is turning the page from his time with the Kansas City Chiefs and setting his sights on a fresh start with the Philadelphia Eagles. While his stint with the Chiefs didn't quite hit the high notes many anticipated, Brown is eager to make his mark in Philly, teaming up with quarterback Jalen Hurts.

Brown's move to the Eagles comes on the heels of signing a one-year deal, and he's already started building chemistry with Hurts. Last season in Kansas City, Brown hauled in 49 receptions for 587 yards and five touchdowns, averaging 12.5 yards per catch.

Solid numbers, but not quite the breakout many expected. Now, he's ready for a new chapter.

“I’ve been watching Jalen play for a while,” Brown shared. “Previous teammates speak highly of him, and from watching his film, you can see his composure, his deep ball, and his leadership. It’s exciting to be here with him and the rest of the team.”

Interestingly, those same qualities could describe Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes, so what went awry in Kansas City? Injuries certainly played a part. A collarbone injury sidelined Brown for much of the 2024 season, stalling his connection with Mahomes.

Beyond injuries, the Chiefs' complex offensive system posed challenges. It demands quick decision-making and adaptability, and with Brown on a one-year prove-it deal, his window to impress was narrow. When Xavier Worthy emerged as a field-stretching threat, alongside Tyquan Thornton, Brown found himself on the outside looking in.

Now with the Eagles, Brown is enthusiastic about the opportunity ahead. He's had productive discussions with GM Howie Roseman and coach Nick Sirianni.

Brown's addition could be pivotal, especially if A.J. Brown is traded, setting the stage for Hollywood to shine if he can stay healthy and capitalize on his new surroundings.
