Kansas City Chiefs Re-Sign Speedster Tyquan Thornton
The Kansas City Chiefs are doubling down on their offensive firepower by re-signing wide receiver Tyquan Thornton. Known for his blazing speed, Thornton has inked a two-year deal worth $11 million, with the potential to reach $14 million through incentives.
Thornton, now 25, made a notable impact in Kansas City after joining the team in 2025. His arrival came following three seasons with the New England Patriots, where he began carving out his niche in the league.
Last season, Thornton stepped up in a big way. With Rashee Rice sidelined due to suspension and Xavier Worthy dealing with injuries, Thornton seized the opportunity. In just four starts, he racked up 19 receptions, three touchdowns, and 438 yards-each a career-best mark.
Throughout his four-year NFL journey, Thornton has appeared in 42 games, starting 17. His return to the Chiefs solidifies a key component of their passing attack, promising more electrifying plays and deep-threat potential for the upcoming seasons.
