Chiefs fans will get a new Red Friday flag this year, and this one comes with Andy Reid’s stamp all over it.
The 2026 version pays tribute to the coach behind three more Lombardi Trophies in Kansas City, with Reid’s signature celebratory “How ‘Bout Those Chiefs” worked into the design. The team also went with a more cursive font this year than it used on the 2025 flag.
The Chiefs unveiled the look on Aug. 5, writing: “Red Thursday is right around the corner, and this year’s flag is coming to you straight from the sidelines 🚩”
These flags have turned into annual keepsakes for fans, especially after the three Super Bowl titles in the Patrick Mahomes Era. Even without a championship to mark this time around, the team is keeping the tradition alive by centering the latest release on Reid.
The flags go on sale Sept. 10, with a presale at shop.chiefs.com beginning at 10 a.m. Thursday. Each flag costs $10, and the proceeds will benefit Ronald McDonald House Kansas City.
