The Kansas City Chiefs are making waves by bringing back a familiar face-Travis Kelce. They've locked him in with a three-year deal, though it's widely expected he might stick around for just one. This move keeps all options open for Andy Reid's squad.
In a bold early free agency move, the Chiefs snagged Super Bowl MVP Kenneth Walker III. He's a dynamic workhorse running back who could thrive under Eric Bieniemy, who's set to return for another stint as offensive coordinator.
This has sparked chatter, especially from former NFL player Isaac Rochell, who speculates that Tyreek Hill might make a comeback to Kansas City. On "Good Morning Football," Rochell shared his thoughts, suggesting both parties might be ready to reconcile:
"If they re-sign Tyreek Hill, I'm feeling this energy, I think everybody can kind of feel it," Rochell said. "The three-year deal for Travis Kelce when everybody thought he was gonna retire, Mahomes is gonna be healthy, Kenneth Walker III is coming to the Chiefs, (Eric) Bieniemy is back.
Can we just get Tyreek Hill? I feel like Tyreek Hill, like a lot of us, you don't know what you've got until it's gone.
I feel like he went to Miami, and he's now like, you know, 'Why don't I just get more hardware?'"
Hill's departure from Arrowhead wasn't on the best terms. Feeling underappreciated, he requested a trade and then watched the Chiefs clinch two Super Bowls without him.
Now, it seems they could benefit from each other once more. With Rashee Rice potentially facing suspension and Xavier Worthy yet to hit his stride, the Chiefs are in need of offensive firepower to reclaim their throne. Hill, recovering from a significant injury and nearing the twilight of his prime, might find Kansas City to be the team that trusts him the most.
