The Chiefs are heading back to Arrowhead for their third preseason game, and this one comes with a little extra edge after last week’s narrow loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Kansas City dropped that game by one point, extending its preseason skid to eight straight. It was a frustrating finish, too: the Chiefs had fallen behind late, then put themselves in position to steal the win before Harrison Butker missed a 43-yard field goal to close it out. Still, preseason results don’t carry much weight in the big picture - though a win in August would be a welcome change after the drought.
The matchup with the Seahawks is set for Friday, Aug. 28, 2026, at Arrowhead Stadium, with kickoff scheduled for 7 p.m. Central.
If Andy Reid sticks to his usual pattern, the starters may not see much, if any, action in the third preseason game. That’s been the norm for him in the past, though it remains to be seen whether he follows that script this time.
For fans watching from home, the game will air on KSHB (Ch. 41) in Kansas City. Ari Wolfe and Trent Green will handle the broadcast, while Kimmi Chex and Matt McMullen are set to report from the sideline.
Radio coverage will also be available, with Mitch Holthus on the call on KFNZ (96.5 FM) in Kansas City and KNSS (98.7 FM) in the Wichita area.
On the betting side, DraftKings opened the Chiefs as 1 1/2-point favorites, with the over/under listed at 36 1/2 points.
