Taylor Swift was never going to be at Hard Rock Stadium on Sunday, but that apparently didn’t stop a CBS crew from looking for her anyway.
The Chiefs were in Miami to face the Dolphins, and Swift’s fiancé, Travis Kelce, had a big afternoon, hauling in a touchdown pass as Kansas City rolled to a 24-10 win. Swift, though, was elsewhere - and the reason was no mystery. She had plans on the other side of the country for the MTV Video Music Awards in Los Angeles.
That’s where she was expected to be because the debut of Swift’s “Agent Zero” video was set to debut on the VMAs. She was on the red carpet, and one person even called her “Mrs. Kelce” for the first time.
Still, one Chiefs fan at the game, Kris, noticed something odd from her seat behind a broadcast camera and posted about it on X.
“We are directly behind a broadcast camera and it’s kinda cool to see what yall will be seeing on the TV,” she wrote.
Not long after, she said the CBS crew seemed to be hunting for Swift inside the stadium anyway.
“BAHAHAH no way the broadcast guy just turned to me and asked if I came to see Taylor b/c they are apparently talking in the headsets trying to find her,” she wrote. “I had to inform him that the VMAs are in LA and she is absolutely not here.”
Swift had already attended the Chiefs’ first two games, both at home, but this one was never in the cards. The crew’s search, at least according to Kris, came up empty.
