Caitlin Clark Makes Shocking Chiefs Admission

Sports superstar Caitlin Clark reveals her unwavering allegiance to the Kansas City Chiefs and their standout tight end, Travis Kelce, during a lively podcast chat.

Caitlin Clark didn’t leave much room for debate when Kylie Kelce put the question to her: Travis Kelce is her favorite Chiefs player of all time.

Clark made the comment during a bonus episode of Kylie Kelce’s Not Gonna Lie podcast, and when Kylie asked whether her brother-in-law topped Clark’s list, the Indiana Fever star went straight to the point.

“Come on. Of course he is.

I was a Tony Gonzalez fan when I was growing up, too. But no, Travis is definitely my favorite Chiefs player of all time, and Patrick is right behind him.

So, it’s been very fun to follow,” Clark said.

The answer fit right in with the way Clark has talked about the Chiefs for years. She grew up in Iowa rooting for Kansas City, and she’s turned into a familiar face at Arrowhead Stadium. Last month, she sat with Taylor Swift to watch Kelce, and the Kelce brothers returned the favor by showing support for her on New Heights.

Kylie also brought up Clark’s loyalty to Kansas City when the topic turned to the Colts jersey she refused to put on, even while playing in Indianapolis. Clark said she wasn’t thinking about how it would look in the moment, but she realized afterward that most of her teammates had worn it.

“Honestly, like in real time, I wasn’t like thinking like, ‘Oh, I’m not going to put this on cause I don’t want like the Chiefs fans mad or Travis mad or whatever.’ But after the fact, I didn’t realize all my teammates had it on.

So, that made me look worse. But, whatever.

I still have the jersey,” Clark said, on the podcast.

She also made her allegiance plain when talking about the Colts.

“No, I mean I wish them the best, the Colts, but I am diehard Chiefs. I’ve been diehard since I was a young kid and it is what it is,” Clark said.

Clark didn’t stop at fandom, either. She weighed in on Kansas City’s season and said the team has answered a difficult 2025 with a stronger run.

“It’s just like they just make it look so easy. Obviously, the Seahawks game the other week wasn’t great for us, but it’s all right.

The Seahawks are pretty good, but it’s been fun to kind of see them, like, have the bounceback year that they have had. Obviously, last year was tough with the injuries and everything, but I’m feeling good about it this year,” Clark said.

The Chiefs are 5-2 after Sunday’s loss to the Denver Broncos, and they can count on Clark being one of their loudest celebrity supporters the rest of the way.

Andy Reid Keeps Putting Chiefs In A Brutal Short-Yardage Debate

The Chiefs have spent years trying to balance aggression with caution in short-yardage situations, and the conversation still traces back to the hit that changed everything for Patrick Mahomes. Since that 2019 moment against Denver, when a quarterback sneak ended with Mahomes missing time, Kansas City has been noticeably more reluctant to lean on its franchise passer in those high-collision snaps, even when the offense seems to need a simple, physical answer.

Andy Reids challenge is that the caution makes sense, but it also leaves the Chiefs searching for a cleaner way to convert when the chains get tight. The article points to the idea that Kansas City does not have to keep putting Mahomes in harms way on those plays, and that the real debate is whether the team can find a different body to handle that job without sacrificing the efficiency that has made its offense so dangerous. Chiefs-Jets History Includes One Defining Moment Kansas City Fans Know Well

The Chiefs and Jets have crossed paths plenty over the years, with the all-time series still tight enough to feel like a rivalry even if it does not always get treated like one. Kansas City holds a narrow edge overall, and the matchup has tilted more toward the Chiefs in the Andy Reid era, with Kansas City winning four of the last five meetings. Even the postseason history is balanced, as the teams have split their two playoff games.

For Chiefs fans, though, one meeting stands apart from the rest because of what it meant for the franchises rise. The old AFL playoff showdown with New York is still the defining chapter in this series, the kind of game that lingers in team memory whenever these two clubs meet again. More than half a century later, it remains the game that gives this otherwise even matchup its most lasting weight. [Read more 🡒]

Chiefs Suddenly Face A Brutal AFC West Reality Against Denver

Two straight losses have turned the AFC West into a much tighter race than Kansas City expected, especially with Denver sitting atop the division at 6-2 after eight weeks. The Chiefs are still very much in the hunt at 5-2, but the margin for error has shrunk fast, and the path back to first place now looks a lot less forgiving than it did a couple of weeks ago.

The bigger concern for Kansas City is that the Broncos have already navigated a tougher early stretch and appear to have a friendlier road ahead, which raises the stakes for every Chiefs game from here on out. If Kansas City is going to reclaim the division lead, it will need to stack wins and hope Denver slips along the way, because the schedule math no longer looks especially kind to the reigning standard in the AFC West.
