Andy Reid keeps stacking up milestones in Kansas City, and Sunday’s 22-6 win over the Los Angeles Chargers pushed him into a rare place in NFL coaching history.
With the Chiefs off to a 5-0 start, Reid reached that mark for the sixth time as a head coach. Only George Halas and Paul Brown have done it more than once at that level, making Reid the third coach in league history to guide at least six teams to 5-0 beginnings.
It’s the sort of company that almost invites an old-school image: Halas and Brown in suits and hats, Reid in his familiar red hat and red windbreaker. Reid’s fifth 5-0 start in Kansas City joined the 2004 Philadelphia Eagles as the other team he has taken out of the gate that fast.
Halas finished with 10 5-0 starts across 40 seasons with the Chicago Bears, while Brown had six over 25 years with the Cleveland Browns and Cincinnati Bengals. Reid has now matched Brown’s total.
The record book around Reid is getting crowded in a hurry. The win over the Chargers gave him 284 career victories in his 28th season as an NFL head coach, putting him fourth all-time behind Don Shula, Halas and Bill Belichick. Brown sits seventh, with Curly Lambeau and Tom Landry in between.
Reid also moved to 28 playoff wins, which is second all-time and three behind Belichick’s 31. When regular-season and postseason wins are combined, Reid’s 312 trail only Shula, Belichick and Halas.
That means there’s room for more movement if Kansas City keeps winning. Continued regular-season success and a deep playoff run could let Reid pass Halas in combined wins, and a Super Bowl LXI victory could put him ahead of Belichick in playoff wins if the Chiefs end up needing a wild-card game.
For now, the Chiefs’ undefeated start stands on its own as they head into a tough stretch, beginning with Sunday night’s trip to face the defending Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks at 7:20 p.m. CT on NBC. That game is followed by a Nov. 1 visit to the Denver Broncos.

Travis Kelce Just Added Another Chapter To Chiefs History
Travis Kelce keeps stacking milestones in a Chiefs uniform, and the latest one only adds to the strange sense that his place in franchise history is still being written in real time. Already the clubs record holder for receptions, receiving yards and receiving touchdowns, Kelce remains a central part of Kansas Citys offense this season while continuing to reshape the teams passing-game legacy.
Kelce reached 1,100 career regular-season receptions during the Chiefs victory over the Chargers, another reminder of how long he has been at the heart of this run. For Kansas City, it is the kind of accomplishment that lands somewhere between routine and remarkable: another Sunday, another chapter for a player whose rsum already looks unlike anyone elses in team history. Mahomes Just Added Another Tom Brady Comparison For Chiefs Fans
Patrick Mahomes keeps stacking up milestones at a pace that is starting to feel routine for Kansas City fans, and the latest one came in the Chiefs 22-6 win over the Chargers. Mahomes completed 23 of 30 passes for 272 yards and one interception, helping push the Chiefs to 5-0 while adding yet another reminder of how quickly his career has moved into historic territory.
The latest benchmark also brings Brady into the picture again, because Mahomes reached 100 NFL wins in the fewest starts ever recorded among quarterbacks. For a Chiefs team that is unbeaten and headed next to Seattle, the accomplishment is another sign that the standard in Kansas City is being measured not just by wins, but by how often Mahomes keeps finding himself in company reserved for the very best. Chiefs Fans Got Pulled Into Another Swift-Kelce Rumor
The latest round of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce chatter pulled Chiefs fans back into the endless swirl around the couple, this time with social media images falsely suggesting Swift might be pregnant. The noise spread quickly enough to get attention, but there is no real reporting behind it, just another example of how fast speculation can outrun the facts when the Chiefs star and the global pop icon are involved.
Swift and Kelce, who were married on July 3, 2026, have been visible together in recent days, including appearances in Los Angeles and at a Kansas City Chiefs game. The broader point for Chiefs followers is familiar by now: every public sighting seems to invite a new round of guessing, even when there is no confirmed pregnancy report and the photos driving the discussion are not real.
