Even with his season cut short, Travis Hunter is still finding ways to make headlines-and have a little fun while doing it.
The Jaguars’ dynamic rookie hasn’t played since October after undergoing surgery to repair a torn LCL in his knee, an injury he sustained during practice ahead of Week 9. But that didn’t stop him from being one of the most animated fans in the building during Jacksonville’s biggest win of the season.
On Sunday, the Jaguars went into Denver and stunned the Broncos with a 34-20 road victory-one that not many saw coming. The game wasn’t without controversy, especially from the Broncos' side, as some questionable officiating calls left Denver fans fuming.
Hunter, watching from the stands, didn’t hold back. Video surfaced of him celebrating wildly and even taunting upset Broncos fans as they voiced their frustration with the refs.
The clip quickly made the rounds online, and it’s safe to say Hunter’s competitive fire is still burning, even from the sidelines.
Before the injury, Hunter was starting to look every bit the star Jacksonville hoped he’d be. In his final appearance of the season-a blowout loss to the Rams-he still managed to shine, leading the team in receiving.
He hauled in eight catches on 14 targets for 101 yards, including a 34-yard grab, marking his first career 100-yard game. It was a glimpse of just how impactful he can be when healthy.
Since Hunter went down, the Jaguars have played eight games without him. And while many expected the offense to take a step back, Jacksonville did the opposite.
Outside of a late-game collapse against Houston, the Jags have been rolling, losing just once in that stretch. Now, with one more win-this time against the Colts-they can lock up the AFC South for the first time since 2022, which was also the last time they won a playoff game.
Hunter’s numbers don’t jump off the page-28 catches, 298 yards, and a touchdown in seven games-but his impact goes beyond the stat sheet. He played 36% of the team’s defensive snaps when healthy, showcasing the versatility that made him such a rare two-way threat coming out of college. His presence on both sides of the ball gave Jacksonville a unique edge, and it’s clear they see him as a foundational piece moving forward.
The Jaguars are already playoff-bound, but with a healthy Travis Hunter in the lineup, this team’s ceiling gets even higher. His rookie season may be over, but his energy, confidence, and talent are still very much part of the Jaguars’ identity-and if Sunday was any indication, he’s itching to get back and be a difference-maker again.
