Safety Eric Murray is back in the mix, officially activated from injured reserve. The 31-year-old brings a veteran presence to the Jaguars' secondary, and his return comes at a crucial point in the season.
Murray has already made his mark in 2025, appearing in seven games and tallying 34 tackles, an interception, and four pass breakups. That’s steady production from a player who knows how to read the field and isn’t afraid to step up in run support.
Murray’s journey through the league has been one of adaptability and resilience. Originally a fourth-round pick by Kansas City in 2016, he was traded to Cleveland in a deal that sent Emmanuel Ogbah to the Chiefs.
After finishing out his rookie contract, Murray landed with the Texans on a three-year, $20.25 million deal in 2020. He later reworked that contract and stuck around through 2023, before signing a new one-year deal for 2024.
Jacksonville saw enough in his game to offer a three-year, $22.5 million contract this past March - a clear sign they value his experience and versatility on the back end.

Silmon-Craig gives the secondary another option, especially with Murray just returning from injury. Trammell, meanwhile, offers some flexibility in the receiving corps and can be a factor in the return game.
