A few of the Jaguars’ roster cuts could be in line for a quick move to another NFL team as the waiver process gets going.
That’s the next stop for players who have fewer than four accrued NFL seasons. Teams can put in claims, and if more than one club wants the same player, the higher waiver priority wins. Right now, that order is tied to the original 2026 draft order before trades.
For Jacksonville, three names stand out as possible waiver targets.
Jack Kiser missed almost all of training camp because of an injury, but he still showed enough as a rookie to help in several special teams roles. A team in need of MIKE linebacker depth could take a look, too.
Jalen McLeod also lost his rookie year to injury, but he brings a different kind of versatility. He can work at linebacker and also rush off the edge, and he has special teams value on top of that. During the summer, he flashed some playmaking ability as well.
Then there’s Jabbar Muhammad, who looked like he had a path to making the team before Jacksonville surprised many by cutting him. In the preseason, he gave up 10 catches on 14 targets, but those completions went for just 7.0 yards per catch, and he added a pass breakup. He can play both inside and outside, which only boosts his appeal.
Two other Jaguars cuts are in a different category. Chuma Edoga and Nick Mullens each have four or more accrued NFL seasons, so they are not on waivers. They’re free agents now and can sign wherever they choose.

Patrick Herberts brief run in Jacksonville ended this week when the tight end signed with the Los Angeles Chargers practice squad after being waived by the Jaguars. Jaguars Have One Special Teams Question Fans Can't Ignore
Special teams has quietly become one of the more stable parts of the Jaguars under Liam Coen, and that matters on a roster still sorting through bigger questions elsewhere. Cam Little, Logan Cooke and Ross Matiscik give Jacksonville a dependable battery, Parker Washington has added value as a punt return threat, and the units overall work has shown up in the rankings on both returns and coverage. Retaining Heath Farwell from the previous staff also gave the group a head start, and Coen has pointed to that continuity and the leadership within the room as real assets.
Josh Camerons development is part of why the conversation around this unit is getting interesting now.
