Jaguars London Game Just Added A Halftime Spotlight Fans May Not Expect

Ayra Starr, a Grammy-nominated sensation with global acclaim, is set to light up the halftime stage at the Eagles vs. Jaguars showdown in London.

Ayra Starr is set to bring the music to London when the Eagles face the Jaguars at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, becoming the latest halftime act on the NFL’s 2026 international slate.

The 24-year-old Beninese-Nigerian singer and songwriter has quickly grown into one of Africa’s biggest pop stars. Since debuting in 2021, Starr has piled up more than seven billion global streams and one billion YouTube views, and she has already earned two Grammy nominations for Best African Music Performance.

She also comes into the NFL spotlight with a new album in hand. In August, Starr released her third studio album, "Starrgirl." She is a former BET Award winner for Best International Act as well.

“I am so excited to perform at the NFL halftime show in London,” Starr said in a statement about her London performance. “London is one of my favorite places in the world and to bring Starrgirl to the NFL global stage is a dream come true for me. I can’t wait to see you guys there!”

The NFL says Starr fits the moment in London, where the league has continued to build its international presence through halftime performances. NFL senior director of global game presentation, music and entertainment Tim Tubito said in a release: “The NFL London games are the foundation of everything we have built internationally, and the halftime show has become one of the biggest moments which makes these events so special, NFL senior director of global game presentation, music and entertainment Tim Tubito said in a release.

“London is one of the most influential music cities in the world, and African music has been at the center of that conversation for years now. Ayra Starr is a generational talent with a real connection to fans in this market, and building on the halftime shows we have staged in London in recent seasons, she is the right artist to carry that momentum forward.

We look forward to collaborating with her on a performance that captures the energy that matches the moment.”

Starr’s biggest streaming number belongs to "Santa," which has been played more than 945 million times on Spotify. Another of her standout songs is "Rush," the 2022 release that brought her a Grammy nomination for Best African Music Performance.

And for fans wanting a preview of the kind of song she brings to the stage, "Rush" leans into the same confident, catchy energy that has helped make her a global name.

Marvin Harrison Jr. Just Got A Telling Place In Trade Chatter

Trade chatter has started to swirl around a familiar cluster of young receivers, and it now includes Marvin Harrison Jr., Brian Thomas Jr. and Jerry Jeudy as the deadline approaches. An assistant general manager even floated the possibility that Thomas and Jeudy could be moved before the NFLs Nov. 10 deadline, which is the kind of speculation that quickly turns into league-wide conversation when teams start looking for help at wide receiver.

For Jaguars fans, the Brian Thomas Jr. angle is the one worth monitoring most closely, because his name is suddenly being discussed in the same breath as some of the more prominent trade possibilities on the board. A number of teams, including the Colts, 49ers, Chiefs, Raiders, Bills and Texans, have been mentioned as possible receiver destinations, and once that many clubs enter the discussion, the noise tends to linger until the deadline itself sorts out which rumors were real and which were just early-season leverage plays. Jaguars Catch Eagles Amid Sudden QB Uncertainty Before Sunday

The week before a road game can change quickly in the NFL, and Jacksonville suddenly finds itself facing a different-looking Eagles depth chart than the one it expected. Philadelphia released veteran quarterback Andy Dalton ahead of Sundays matchup, leaving Tanner McKee and Cole Payton as the backups behind Jalen Hurts while the Jaguars get ready for a team already dealing with more than one roster shakeup.

For Jacksonville, the timing adds another layer to a matchup that was already drawing attention because of Philadelphias recent moves. The Eagles also sent center Cam Jurgens to the Baltimore Ravens and ruled Saquon Barkley out for Week 5 with an injury, creating more uncertainty around a roster that is still trying to settle in. The Jaguars wont be able to do much about the Eagles personnel decisions, but they now have a clearer sense that Sunday could look different than it did even a few days ago. [Read more 🡒]

Travon Walker Could Swing This Jaguars Eagles Showdown In London

The Jaguars head into their Week 5 meeting with the Eagles in London eyeing a game that could come down to a few pressure points on both sides of the ball. Philadelphia is breaking in a new right tackle after Lane Johnsons retirement, which immediately puts a spotlight on Jacksonville edge rusher Travon Walker and the kind of disruption he can create early. On the other side, the Jaguars are also studying ways to test an Eagles defense that may be vulnerable in linebacker coverage, a matchup that could help shape how Jacksonville moves the ball.

Jacksonvilles secondary also figures to have a major role, with Travis Hunter expected to draw a big assignment against Philadelphias top receiving threat, Dontayvion Wicks. The Eagles will be without DeVonta Smith, which changes the look of the passing game but does not take away the need for the Jaguars to stay sharp on the perimeter. In a matchup with plenty of moving parts, Walkers ability to tilt the line of scrimmage may be one of the clearest paths Jacksonville has to control the game. [Read more 🡒]
