Jaguars Linked to Maxx Crosby After Shocking NFL Insider Reveal

With Maxx Crosby eyeing an exit from Las Vegas, over 20 teams - including the edge-hungry Jaguars - are circling as the Pro Bowl pass rusher signals he's done waiting for a rebuild.

When NFL insider Jay Glazer speaks, the league listens-and this week, he dropped a bombshell on Yahoo! Sports Daily that could shake up the AFC West and beyond. Asked directly whether Maxx Crosby’s time with the Raiders is nearing its end, Glazer didn’t mince words: “I do.”

That’s a massive statement about one of the NFL’s premier edge rushers, and it signals a potential shift in the Raiders’ trajectory. Glazer added that a deal “probably” gets done before the NFL Draft, and while he didn’t name specific teams in the mix, he made it clear: interest is sky-high.

“The day it happened, no less than 20 teams called me and asked, ‘Is this real? Can we get him?

What’s it for?’” Glazer said.

“I’m like, guys, we’re not there yet, but yes, it’s real.”

Translation? Crosby is officially on the radar of just about every team with playoff aspirations-and for good reason.

The guy is a game-wrecker. He’s not just a pass rusher; he’s a tone-setter, a locker room leader, and the kind of player you build a defense around.

But this isn’t a case of the Raiders shopping Crosby behind closed doors. According to Glazer, this is Crosby’s call.

He’s reportedly told owner Mark Davis he doesn’t want to go through another rebuild-and after years of instability in Vegas, who can blame him? Crosby has given everything to that franchise.

If he’s looking to chase wins rather than wait out another reset, it’s understandable.

Now, the big question: What would it take to get him?

Glazer hinted that any deal would likely require more than what the Cowboys got for Micah Parsons in last year’s blockbuster with the Packers. That trade cost Green Bay two first-round picks and defensive tackle Kenny Clark.

So, if Crosby is in that same tier-and let’s be real, he is-then we’re talking about a haul. Think multiple premium picks, and possibly a player or two, especially if a team is trying to make the money work.

And that brings us to the Jacksonville Jaguars.

On paper, Crosby is exactly what the Jags need. Defensive end is a clear area of need, and pairing Crosby with Josh Allen would instantly give Jacksonville one of the most dangerous edge duos in the league. That’s the kind of move that could tilt the AFC South in their favor for years.

But there are two big hurdles.

First, Jacksonville doesn’t have a 2026 first-round pick. That’s a problem when you’re competing with teams that do. A pick this year holds more value than one down the line, especially for a Raiders team looking to restock quickly.

Second, the salary cap. Crosby’s base salary over the next four seasons sits between $27 million and $30 million annually.

That’s elite money for an elite player-but it’s also a serious cap commitment. The Jaguars are already tight against the cap, and while there are always ways to restructure deals or include players in a trade to make the numbers work, it won’t be easy.

Still, this is the kind of move that could define a franchise. If Jacksonville truly believes they’re close-and with Trevor Lawrence under center and a young core in place, they might be-then taking a big swing on Crosby could be worth the risk.

Make no mistake: if Maxx Crosby is truly available, the NFL landscape is about to shift. Whether it’s the Jaguars or one of the many other teams circling, someone is going to land a franchise-altering talent. The only question now is who’s willing to pay the price.
