The Jacksonville Jaguars are heading into the weekend with some much-needed good news on the injury front.
Safety Andrew Wingard and offensive lineman Walker Little have officially cleared concussion protocol, a key step forward after both missed last week’s game. On top of that, they were full participants in Thursday’s practice - a strong indicator they’re trending toward being available for Sunday. That’s a big boost for a Jaguars team looking to stabilize both sides of the ball down the stretch.
Quarterback Trevor Lawrence, who popped up on the injury report earlier this week with an ankle issue, was also upgraded to full participation on Thursday. It’s a promising sign for the offense, especially considering how central Lawrence is to everything Jacksonville does. While he’s dealt with his share of bumps and bruises this season, seeing him practice without limitations this late in the week is exactly what the Jaguars needed.
Defensive lineman BJ Green joined the list of upgrades as well, moving to full participation after being limited with a knee injury. Green’s presence up front has been a quietly important part of Jacksonville’s defensive rotation, so his availability will be something to watch as the team prepares for its next matchup.
There are still a few names to keep an eye on. Wide receiver Parker Washington (hip), tight end Quintin Morris (ankle), and offensive lineman Ezra Cleveland (shoulder) were all limited for the second straight day. Washington missed last week’s game against the Colts, so his status remains one to monitor closely as Sunday approaches.
Meanwhile, three other players - defensive lineman Arik Armstead (hand), edge rusher Travon Walker (knee), and cornerback Jarrian Jones (neck) - were all listed as full participants again. Each of them played in last week’s game, and their continued presence at practice suggests they’re managing their respective injuries well.
All in all, Thursday’s report paints a more optimistic picture for Jacksonville than earlier in the week. With key starters trending in the right direction and only a few lingering question marks, the Jaguars appear to be getting healthier at a crucial point in the season.
