Brian Thomas Jr. keeps landing in the middle of trade chatter, and now the latest ESPN read only adds more fuel to the fire.
On Wednesday, Jeremy Fowler and Dan Graziano dug into which star wide receiver could be next to move after the Arizona Cardinals sent Marvin Harrison Jr. to the Houston Texans. Graziano’s answer was Thomas, though he was careful to note that Jacksonville has not given any sign it wants to deal him.
“Jacksonville’s Brian Thomas Jr. is a name teams get most excited about; but so far, the Jaguars have not indicated a desire to trade him,” Graziano wrote. “He seems to have fallen behind both Parker Washington and Jakobi Meyers in the Jaguars’ wide receiver pecking order, which is one reason teams are interested in finding out if he’s available. It’s a logical thought: Thomas is a former first-round pick and a top talent who might fit better in a different offense, similar to Houston’s thinking on Harrison.”
That only deepens a storyline that has been building for months. Thomas has been a steady topic around the league since the offseason, and his name has already surfaced in plenty of speculation.
In August, the Jaguars reportedly rejected two “significant” trade offers for the receiver, who burst onto the scene with 1,282 yards and 10 touchdowns as a rookie. Then in September, he was linked with the Pittsburgh Steelers, keeping the rumor mill spinning.
The production hasn’t matched the hype so far in Jacksonville. Thomas has played five games this season and has 9 catches for 105 yards and one touchdown. He’s still young, and the appeal around the league is obvious, but the Jaguars have not shown any interest in moving him.
Graziano also pointed to another possible name down the line, mentioning Browns receiver Jerry Jeudy next, especially after rookies Denzel Boston and KC Concepcion started showing strong production.
For now, Thomas remains a name that teams are circling and Jacksonville is not selling.

Jaguars Have A Discipline Problem Liam Coen Knows He Must Fix
The Jaguars left their game against the Eagles with the same kind of frustration that has been hanging around them for another week: too many flags, too much wasted time, and scoring chances slipping away. Multiple delay of game penalties short-circuited drives, and Jacksonville finished with 13 penalties in that game after also piling up 13 against the Bengals, a pattern that has become hard to ignore for a team trying to establish a cleaner identity.
Liam Coen took responsibility for the breakdowns and said the answer has to start with simplifying the play-calling process so the offense can get lined up and operate with more urgency. For a staff trying to build consistency, the issue is bigger than one messy afternoon. It is about whether the Jaguars can get the details right before the penalties begin to shape games for them. Jaguars-Texans Could Come Down To What Houston Still Hasn't Fixed
With Week 6 bringing the Jaguars and Texans back into the same divisional frame, the matchup is starting to look less like a showcase for star power and more like a test of which side has done a better job of fixing its own issues. Scott Barzilla of Battle Red Blog dug into Houstons current state, and his read centered on a team still trying to sort out its offense, where scheme and playcalling have been lingering concerns even after another offseason meant to move things forward.
From Jacksonvilles perspective, that makes the trip to Houston feel winnable, especially with Barzilla also pointing to defensive injury effects that have complicated the Texans balance on that side of the ball. He flagged a few under-the-radar names worth watching and still called for a tight game, but his slight edge goes to the Jaguars, which says plenty about how much Houston still has to clean up before this rivalry feels settled again. Jalen Hurts Finally Explained What Jaguars Fans Noticed In London
Jalen Hurts was dealing with more than the usual pregame buildup when the Eagles showed up in London, and the explanation helped clear up something Jaguars fans had already noticed from across the field. Hurts said he injured his calf in the Week 4 game against the Rams, which put a little more context behind the cautious way he managed the lead-up to Week 5.
His delayed arrival on the field was part of the plan, he said, with the goal of keeping the calf warm and giving it rest before kickoff. Even with the injury note on Philadelphias report, Hurts still participated fully in practice, which made the situation look more like a maintenance issue than a true limitation, though it was easy to see why anyone watching in London would wonder what was going on.
