The NFL trade deadline is starting to pull receivers into the spotlight, and FOX Sports’ Ralph Vacchiano has heard from multiple league sources that several names are generating real buzz.
Marvin Harrison Jr. is among the players drawing attention, and Vacchiano has been told the Cardinals wideout appears to be getting traded imminently, even though the landing spot is still unknown. Beyond that, a few more receivers are popping up in conversations around the league.
One team executive told Vacchiano: “There are a lot of receivers with size, talent, speed that, for whatever reason, don’t seem to be in their team’s plans anymore,” one team executive told Vacchiano. “And some of them aren’t going to cost a lot more than a Day 3 pick.
If you need help [at that position], the upside could be high. Sometimes a change of scenery works.”
That’s the kind of market creating interest around Jacksonville’s Brian Thomas Jr. and Cleveland’s Jerry Jeudy, with Tampa Bay’s Chris Godwin and the Chargers’ Quentin Johnston also mentioned as possible names to watch.
Thomas was a trade topic last year during a sophomore slump, and the Jaguars passed on some sizable offers at the time. But in his third season, his role in the offense still hasn’t grown much, which has brought his name back into the rumor mill.
Jeudy has been on the radar since at least August, when he was identified as a possible trade candidate, and his name is now surfacing again. An assistant general manager told Vacchiano: “The two I’d be looking at are Thomas and Jeudy,” an assistant general manager told Vacchiano. “Liam Coen looks like he’s buried Thomas there, but man, he was sensational as a rookie [in 2024].
“And Jeudy is yesterday’s news in Cleveland. That team has two terrific young receivers (Denzel Boston, KC Concepcion) and a tight end to throw to (Harold Fannin).
They don’t need a guy that erratic. But he could definitely help somebody else if he lands in the right place.”
Godwin and Johnston are part of the same larger group of receivers whose situations could invite calls before the deadline. Tampa Bay and Los Angeles both entered Week 5 without a win, and each player has had an unstable role in the offense so far.
The same assistant GM added: “Sometimes we look at talent more than production when it comes to trades,” the assistant GM said. “Maybe a guy is used wrong somewhere else.
Maybe it’s the system. Maybe he doesn’t like the staff or the city.
But if we see talent, we think we can make it work. And I think a lot of the receivers that might be available have some pretty obvious talent.”
Thomas, 24, was a three-year starter at LSU and picked up third-team All-American and second-team All-SEC honors in 2023. Jacksonville selected him No. 23 overall in the 2024 draft.
He is in the third season of a four-year, $14,383,048 rookie deal that includes a $7,280,399 signing bonus, and the contract carries a fifth-year option for 2028.
In 2026, Thomas has played in four games and has nine catches on 15 targets for 105 yards and one touchdown.
Jeudy, 27, entered the league as a first-round pick by Denver in 2020 after starring at Alabama. He completed the final year of his four-year, $15.192 million contract, which came with an $8.61 million signing bonus.
The Broncos exercised his fifth-year option for 2024, a fully guaranteed $12.978 million, before dealing him to the Browns for fifth- and sixth-round picks. He then signed a three-year, $54 million extension with Cleveland.
In 2026, Jeudy has appeared in four games for the Browns and caught five passes on eight targets for 62 yards and no touchdowns.

Jaguars Fans Had One Big Problem With Jason Kelce In London
Jason Kelces turn in the broadcast booth for the Eagles-Jaguars game in London came with the usual curiosity that follows a recently retired player calling a game involving his old team. For Jaguars fans, the bigger question was whether he could stay evenhanded while analyzing a Philadelphia matchup overseas, especially after some viewers and media critics raised concerns about how he handled his previous references to the Eagles.
Kelce did make room to highlight Jacksonvilles side, including a nod to emergency long snapper DaVon Hamilton for handling an unusual role during the game. He also acknowledged on his podcast how hard it can be to sound neutral when the former team is the one on the field, while saying he would try to be fair to the Jaguars. [Read more 🡒]
Jaguars Got The Break They Needed On One Eagles Decision
The Jaguars got a timely assist in their win over Philadelphia, and it came from an Eagles decision that proved costly in the games final stretch. Late in the loss, Jake Elliott was instructed to kick the ball in-bounds instead of sending it for a touchback, a choice that opened the door for Ameer Abdullah to bring the kickoff back 53 yards and put Jacksonville in position for the winning field goal.
Nick Sirianni later owned the call, taking full responsibility and apologizing to his team for a move he said cost them the game. From Jacksonvilles side, it was the kind of break that can decide a tight matchup, especially when field position suddenly flips and a single possession becomes the difference between a win and a letdown. Jaguars Fans Had One Big Problem With Jason Kelce In London
Jason Kelces first major stop in the broadcast booth at the Eagles-Jaguars game in London drew plenty of attention, and not all of it was complimentary. A lot of the reaction centered on whether the former Eagles center was keeping enough distance from the team he spent his entire playing career with, even as he settled into his new role on the call.
For Jaguars fans, one of the more notable moments came when Kelce praised emergency long snapper DaVon Hamilton during the telecast, a rare spotlight for a player who ended up in an unusual spot for Jacksonville. Kelce has already acknowledged how hard it is to stay neutral when the game involves his former team, and he said he would try to be fair moving forward, which leaves the broader question of how he balances those loyalties as his broadcast career develops.
