Jaguars Are Rolling At Home But One New Concern Just Loomed

Despite a dominant home record, the Jaguars must navigate injury hurdles as they eye a critical matchup against the Ravens.

The Jaguars keep turning EverBank Stadium into a problem for anybody who walks in wearing the wrong jersey.

With Sunday’s win over the Colts, Jacksonville has now ripped off seven straight home victories by 17 points or more, a run that ties for the third-longest in NFL history. At the ‘Bank this season, the Jaguars are three for three and have topped 30 points in every one of those games.

That kind of production at home changes the feel of a season. The division title is there for the taking, and Jacksonville is playing like a team that knows it.

But the cleanest takeaway from this one isn’t just the scoreboard. It’s the injury list.

The Jaguars now have a short week before Thursday night’s game against the Ravens, and the health situation is suddenly a major storyline. Baltimore has already put Lamar Jackson on injured reserve.

Tyler Huntley didn’t finish Sunday’s game and is expected to get an MRI on his turf toe to determine whether he can play. If things go sideways for the Ravens, they could be down to their third-string quarterback, an undrafted free agent.

Jacksonville has its own problems, though. Eric Murray was injured on the opening kickoff.

Ezra Cleveland exited with an ankle injury. And the biggest concern is DaVon Hamilton, who had to be carted off with a knee injury.

That one matters. Hamilton is a central piece of the Jaguars’ defense, and if he’s out for any length of time, the defensive line takes a hit.

There was already chatter about Jacksonville possibly shopping for a defensive tackle before the trade deadline. After Sunday, that need looks even more urgent.

The only real question now is: Who?

Jaguars Crushed The Colts But Left Fans With One Big Worry

The Jaguars had just about everything working in their 42-7 rout of the Colts, from a dominant ground game to another emphatic home win in the AFC South rivalry. Rookie Nate Boerkircher scored his first touchdown, and Bhayshul Tuten and Chris Rodriguez powered the offense with a combined 217 total yards and three scores, giving Jacksonville a lopsided result that fit the tone of the afternoon.

But the victory came with a cost that could linger beyond Week 8. Davon Hamilton, Eric Murray, Ezra Cleveland and Travon Walker all went down with injuries during the game, leaving the Jaguars with a postgame concern that could matter far more than the final score if those absences stretch into the coming weeks. Jaguars Get A Needed WR Boost Before A Huge Colts Test

The Jaguars got a welcome bit of clarity before a pivotal AFC South matchup, with the Week 8 inactive list showing Jakobi Meyers available against the Colts despite the earlier injury concern. His presence gives Jacksonville another option in the passing game alongside Parker Washington, and it comes at a time when the offense could use as many dependable targets as possible heading into a divisional test.

Several other players are on the inactive list, so the roster picture is not entirely clean, but the biggest takeaway for Jacksonville is that Meyers is in uniform for a game that carries real weight in the standings. Trevor Lawrence has already voiced confidence in what this group can be, and now the Jaguars get a chance to back that up with a healthier receiving setup in front of a key home stretch. Jaguars Face A Brian Thomas Jr Decision Fans Never Expected

Brian Thomas Jr. has become one of the more surprising names to surface as the trade deadline approaches, with the Chiefs, Steelers and Commanders all reportedly showing interest in a deal for the Jaguars wide receiver. For Jacksonville, it is the kind of development that would have seemed far-fetched not long ago, especially after Thomas flashed as a rookie and looked like a foundational piece in the passing game.

His production has dipped since then, and his 2026 numbers have not matched the expectations that followed his debut season. With several teams hunting for help at receiver, the interest around Thomas only adds to the pressure on Jacksonville to decide whether this is a short-term blip, a deeper concern, or the kind of opportunity that could force a difficult conversation before the deadline.
