Chuck Alexander Jr., a 247Sports composite four-star wide receiver, announced Friday that he is committing to Iowa State after backing off his pledge to Louisville. The Cincinnati (Ohio) Withrow standout gives the Cyclones their highest-rated commitment since Rogers took over as head coach after the departure of Matt Campbell.
Alexander is viewed as one of the better wideouts in the 2027 class, and Iowa State beat out a long list of suitors to land him. Kentucky, Wisconsin, Iowa, South Carolina, West Virginia and more than two dozen FBS programs were in the mix before the 6-foot-3, 190-pound receiver made his call.
