Nebraska’s volleyball crowd got more than it bargained for on Wednesday night.
Inside a sold-out Pinnacle Bank Arena, the top-ranked Cornhuskers rolled past Creighton in straight sets, but one fan in the stands ended up grabbing as much attention as anything happening on the court. A photo taken from several rows back caught a woman holding her phone high enough for nearby spectators to read a text exchange that appeared to be about an intimate topic.
The first message read, “Not really, but lots of females do. I’m just trying to learn more about your preferences.”
The reply that followed was even more blunt: “I personally don’t want to eat another chics p-- or want her doing me.”
The woman’s face was not visible in the image, which was probably the best outcome for her after the shot started making the rounds.
As for the match itself, Nebraska handled business with a 25-13, 25-15, 25-19 sweep over No. 20 Creighton. The Huskers did it in front of a program-record indoor crowd of 15,405, with the arena packed and loud from start to finish.
Nebraska was in control at the net all night, finishing with 41 total kills and a .202 hitting percentage. The defense was just as sharp, limiting Creighton to 17 kills and a -.033 hitting percentage.
Andi Jackson led the way with nine kills and six blocks, while Kenna Cogill made the most of her first start with eight efficient kills.
The win pushed the undefeated Huskers to 8-0.
