Caitlin Clark just picked up another major spotlight, and this one comes from one of the biggest names in sports gaming.
NBA 2K announced Tuesday that Clark will be the cover athlete for the NBA 2K27 Deluxe Edition, set to release worldwide on September 4. She joins San Antonio Spurs star Victor Wembanyama, who is on the standard edition, and Derrick Rose, who is on the Ultra edition. The Deluxe Edition will cost $99.99 and includes 100,000 VC, along with multiple jerseys and skill boosts for MyCAREER.
For Clark, the honor lands during a strong stretch on the floor. She was named the June Eastern Conference Player of the Month and also earned AP Player of the Week.
Over that recent run, she averaged 25.0 points on 63 percent shooting, plus 7.7 assists and 2.3 rebounds per game. That stretch included a 45-point game against the Seattle Storm.

NBA 2K SVP and GM Zak Armitage said all three cover athletes have "altered the trajectory of the game," and said Clark is "redefining" the women's game entirely.
Clark also shared the cover image on her socials and said the cover is special because it reaches fans all over the world. The move makes her the first WNBA player to receive her own cover, another sign of how far her profile has climbed.
