Cam Taylor-Britt’s first season with the Colts has hit an immediate snag. The NFL has suspended the veteran cornerback for one game after a violation of the league’s personal conduct policy, forcing him to sit out Indianapolis’ Week 1 home game against the Baltimore Ravens.
The suspension comes after Taylor-Britt served a five-day jail sentence in January. He had pleaded guilty to reckless driving and an unclassified no-license charge tied to an incident in September of 2025. According to a Cincinnati police officer, Taylor-Britt was driving recklessly after a Bengals game while pedestrians were still in the area.
Taylor-Britt, 26, arrived in Indianapolis on a one-year deal this offseason, and the move reunited him with Colts defensive coordinator Lou Anarumo. Anarumo had previously held the same job in Cincinnati during Taylor-Britt’s first three seasons with the Bengals.
A second-round pick, 60th overall, in the 2022 NFL Draft, Taylor-Britt broke into Cincinnati’s starting lineup as a rookie and helped the Bengals reach the AFC title game that season. He followed that up with four interceptions in 2023, a career high, then added three more the next year while remaining a key piece of the Bengals’ defense.
But 2025 was a tough year. Taylor-Britt started only two of his eight games before a season-ending Lisfranc injury in Cincinnati’s Week 11 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Anarumo’s first year in Indianapolis produced mixed defensive results. The Colts finished 21st in points allowed, 31st in passing yards allowed, 7th in rushing yards allowed, 26th in third-down efficiency, and 11th in red zone efficiency.

Colts Camp Is Already Turning Up The Heat On Anthony Richardson
The Colts wrapped up their first week of training camp with a few encouraging notes, including Daniel Jones, Seth McGowan and Jonathan Taylor drawing positive attention, while Jonathan Taylors recent contract extension added another layer of stability around the roster. There have also been some absences to monitor, with Alec Pierce still sidelined after ankle surgery and rookie linebacker CJ Allen missing multiple practices because of injuries.
