The Indianapolis Colts may not be done reshaping their roster before the NFL trade deadline hits at 4:00 p.m. ET on Nov. 10, and Jonathan Taylor might not be the only name drawing attention.
A Wednesday report said the Colts still aren’t “lowering their demands” for Taylor and could be seeking “the equivalent of a first-round” draft pick to part with the star running back. But after already kicking off their in-season fire sale last week by moving on from eight-time Pro Bowl guard Quenton Nelson and defensive tackle DeForest Buckner for future draft assets, Indianapolis appears open for more business.
For ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler and Dan Graziano, the list of Colts players who could be on the move extends well beyond Taylor.
“Taylor isn’t the Colts’ only offensive player garnering interest,” Fowler wrote. “Wide receiver Josh Downs and tight end Mo Alie-Cox are also on that list.”
Downs reportedly asked for a trade last week, and several teams have been linked to him, including the San Francisco 49ers, Pittsburgh Steelers, Kansas City Chiefs and Las Vegas Raiders. At the same time, another ESPN report from Wednesday pointed to the Cleveland Browns, Minnesota Vikings and Seattle Seahawks as possible teams in the market for a tight end this week.
Graziano also identified a few Colts who are “likely to move” before the deadline.
“Defensive tackle Grover Stewart and wide receivers Downs and Keenan Allen are among the Colts players likely to move,” Graziano added. “Downs is of interest to the Steelers and the Chiefs.
He is 25 years old and eligible for free agency at the end of the season. Stewart might be a little tougher to deal, since his base salary this year is $11.74M, so an acquiring team would need to be able to fit about half that under its salary cap.
But there are enough teams looking for interior linemen that he likely finds a new home at some point in the next week.”
Defensive line help is clearly in demand, with the New York Jets, New Orleans Saints and New York Giants among the teams reportedly looking for it. And while some believe the Giants could be aiming for Taylor, Fowler said it would be a “mild surprise if” New York “doesn’t walk away with some help up front” before the deadline passes.
That could make Stewart a logical fit for the NFC East club.

Colts Fans Finally Got Their First Real Look At CJ Allen
Week 8 finally gave Colts fans a clearer look at CJ Allen, and the rookie linebacker responded with the kind of activity the team had been waiting for. After seeing his playing time climb against Jacksonville, the top overall pick in the 2026 draft was around the ball far more often, showing better timing and a steadier presence as the game wore on. Even with Indianapolis defense giving up plenty of yards and points, Allens performance stood out as one of the few encouraging developments from a difficult afternoon.
The larger takeaway is less about one game than the early shape of his growth. Allen looked more comfortable navigating NFL speed and more willing to trust what he sees, which matters for a young linebacker still learning how to handle the leagues demands. There are still questions about how far his game can ultimately go, but the Colts at least got a first real glimpse of why they were so eager to make him the centerpiece of their draft. [Read more 🡒]
DeForest Buckner Revealed What Stood Out About His Colts Exit
DeForest Buckners exit from Indianapolis came with a level of care that stood out to him, even in the middle of a major roster move. The veteran defensive tackle was traded back to the San Francisco 49ers, the franchise he played for before arriving with the Colts, and he made clear afterward that the way the process was handled mattered as much as the destination.
Buckner said he appreciated the Colts approach and singled out the organizations effort to make sure he landed in a spot he wanted. Now he heads to a 49ers defense that already features Fred Warner and Nick Bosa, giving San Francisco another proven piece as it tries to push deeper into Super Bowl contention. [Read more 🡒]
Colts May Not Be Done Selling Off Core Pieces Yet
With the NFL trade deadline set for 4 p.m. ET on Nov. 10, the market is already moving and the Colts are one of the teams being watched most closely. Several deals have come and gone, including the Bears landing Jeffery Simmons and the Seahawks swinging a trade for Quenton Nelson, while clubs such as Indianapolis and Philadelphia are still expected to keep working the phones before the clock runs out.
For the Colts, the intrigue is not just about adding help for a playoff push but about how far they are willing to go in reshaping the roster. Some names around the league are being treated as unlikely to move despite the chatter, but Indianapolis has been linked to the kind of decisions that can change a teams direction quickly, and the next few days should show whether this is a one-off deadline or the start of a much bigger sell-off.
