Starting with the wide receiver position, the Colts re-signed Alec Pierce but traded away Michael Pittman Jr. to Pittsburgh, aiming to free up cap space. While Pierce is a solid No. 2 option, he thrives with teammates who can create separation quickly, maximizing his downfield capabilities.
The departure of Pittman, known for his gritty play and ability to make tough catches, leaves a significant gap. Add to that the loss of AD Mitchell, a promising young receiver, and it's clear the Colts need to bolster their receiving corps.
Veteran Nick Westbrook-Ikhine was signed to a minimum deal, but his role seems more of a temporary fix than a long-term solution.
