Taylor Swift’s return to Arrowhead is the question hanging over Chiefs-Colts on Sunday night.
The pop star was in the building for Kansas City’s season-opening win over Denver on “Monday Night Football,” where she watched from a suite with actor Tom Cruise and drew plenty of airtime on the broadcast. She was also there for one of the game’s biggest moments, celebrating after Travis Kelce hauled in a 59-yard reception.
Now Kelce and the Chiefs are back home for another prime-time stage against the Indianapolis Colts, and the same familiar curiosity has followed: will Swift be there again?
There has been no reliable confirmation that she is attending Chiefs-Colts. That said, her game-day plans have usually stayed private, and her appearance at the opener was not formally announced before she showed up at Arrowhead.
What is known is that Swift was in Kansas City over the weekend. She joined Kelce for Patrick Mahomes’ 31st birthday celebration at 1587 Prime, the restaurant owned by Mahomes and Kelce. Photos and videos from that gathering have already made the rounds online, adding fuel to the speculation that she could make another appearance on Sunday night.
Her presence at the opener carried extra weight because it was her first Chiefs game since marrying Kelce during the offseason. The couple married July 3 at Madison Square Garden in New York, turning that game into her first chance to publicly support her husband as his wife.
Swift sat beside Cruise in a suite as Kansas City beat Denver 31-10. Kelce finished with three catches for 71 yards, and the 59-yard grab helped set the Chiefs up in scoring position. Swift was shown celebrating the play with others in the suite.
Cruise later said on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” that Swift was “schooling” him on football. Kelce later said on “New Heights” that she understands the game well enough now to spot possible penalties before the officials throw a flag.
Chiefs-Colts is set for 8:20 p.m. ET at Arrowhead Stadium and will air nationally on NBC as “Sunday Night Football.”
