Indiana University football coach Curt Cignetti has secured a significant contract upgrade, now earning $13.2 million annually. This marks a bump from his previous $11.6 million salary, following a market review triggered by the Hoosiers' impressive run to the College Football Playoff Semifinal in January.
This new deal places Cignetti among the elite in college football coaching salaries, standing shoulder to shoulder with Georgia's Kirby Smart and LSU's Lane Kiffin. It's the third time IU has revised Cignetti's contract since his arrival in December 2023.
The Hoosiers capped off their 2025 season with an unblemished 16-0 record, capturing their first national championship in program history. Over his tenure in Bloomington, Cignetti boasts a remarkable 27-2 record. His contract is set to extend through the 2033 season, ensuring his presence on the sidelines for years to come.
