The first Big Ten availability report for No. 5 Indiana’s Friday night matchup with Northwestern brought a mixed bag for the Hoosiers, with one key cornerback trending toward unavailable and three players already ruled out.
Indiana’s report, released Tuesday night ahead of the 8 p.m. ET kickoff at Memorial Stadium, lists third-year running back Khobie Martin, second-year wide receiver LeBron Bond and third-year cornerback Carson Williams as out.
Fourth-year cornerback A.J. Harris is doubtful.
Harris started Indiana’s opener against North Texas, but he went down early in the first quarter and has not returned since. In his absence, fifth-year cornerback Ryland Gandy has started the last two games against Howard and Western Kentucky.
The Hoosiers also have three players listed as questionable: fifth-year EDGEs Kellan Wyatt and Stephen Daley, along with fourth-year kicker Nico Radicic. Wyatt and Daley are still ineligible while they wait for a court ruling on their eligibility status, which is expected this week.
Radicic, the reigning Big Ten Kicker of the Year, has missed the past two weeks with a back injury. Fifth-year kicker Paddy McAteer has handled both place-kicking and kickoff duties in Radicic’s absence.
Northwestern’s report is longer, with 14 players out and three doubtful. Among the doubtful group is fifth-year starting defensive back Braden Turner, who earned All-Big Ten Honorable Mention in 2025 and has already logged 15 total tackles, one tackle for loss, two pass breakups and one interception this season.
Also out for the Wildcats is third-year starting defensive end Callen Campbell, who was expected to be a major piece of Northwestern’s defensive front after playing in 12 games last season and recording seven tackles.
The Big Ten’s new availability system means schools will file four reports each week, starting three days before the game and ending with a game-day update. Reports are due by 8 p.m. ET on the three days leading into the game, and the final report must be submitted no later than two hours before kickoff.
Midweek reports will use the designations probable, questionable, doubtful, out and out (1st half). On game day, teams will only list players as game time decision, out or out (1st half). Visiting teams must report players who traveled or who are part of the two-deep, or otherwise regularly appear in games.
