Carr's Journey to Bloomington
Hailing from Toledo, Ohio, Carr's coaching journey has been nothing short of impressive. His recent stint at Louisville saw the Cardinals achieve a 51-19 record, including a strong 29-9 performance in ACC play.
Under his guidance, Louisville secured NCAA Tournament appearances in both 2025 and 2026, marking a return to consistent postseason play for the first time in over a decade. Notably, the 2024-25 season saw the Cardinals reach their first ACC Championship game.
During his time at Louisville, Carr worked closely with standout players like Chucky Hepburn, a First Team All-ACC selection, and other talented athletes such as Ryan Conwell, Terrence Edwards, and Mikel Brown Jr.
Before Louisville, Carr was a key figure at the College of Charleston, where he helped the Cougars achieve a remarkable 58-12 record, capturing two CAA regular-season titles and two tournament championships. His mentorship was instrumental in developing players who earned numerous conference honors.
Building a Strong Foundation
Carr’s coaching career began at Chipola College and quickly progressed to roles at East Tennessee State and UNC Wilmington, where he contributed to three consecutive regular-season CAA championships and two NCAA Tournament appearances. His work with the Seahawks' backcourt was particularly noteworthy, as he helped cultivate multiple all-conference players.
From his early days as a two-year captain at Pfeiffer University, where he excelled in three-point shooting, to his impactful coaching roles, Carr has consistently demonstrated his ability to develop talent and lead successful programs.
Indiana fans have plenty to be excited about with Carr's arrival. His experience and success at multiple levels of the game position him as a valuable asset to the Hoosiers' coaching staff. Welcome to Bloomington, Coach Carr!
