Indiana’s 2026-27 Big Ten men’s basketball slate is set, and the Hoosiers now know the road they’ll have to navigate once conference play begins.
The Big Ten announced the complete 20-game schedule Wednesday evening, with Indiana opening league action at home against Rutgers on Tuesday, Dec. 1.
That first stretch turns quickly, because the Hoosiers head to Iowa on Monday, Dec. 7.
January is packed. Indiana has nine games in the month, including five at Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall and four on the road.
The home dates bring USC on Jan. 2, Maryland on Jan.
12, Michigan on Jan. 16, Illinois on Jan. 24 and UCLA on Jan.
- The road swing features trips to Oregon on Jan.
6, Washington on Jan. 9, Minnesota on Jan. 20 and Northwestern on Jan.
February starts with a tough back-to-back away from home, as Indiana goes to Penn State on Feb. 2 and Nebraska on Feb. 6.
The Hoosiers then return to Bloomington for Northwestern on Feb. 9, Purdue on Feb.
16, Michigan State on Feb. 23 and Ohio State on Feb. 28.
Road games at Maryland on Feb. 13 and Wisconsin on Feb. 19 round out the month.
The regular season ends with a visit to in-state rival Purdue on March 5.
From there, the focus shifts to Indianapolis. The 2027 Big Ten Men’s Basketball Tournament will be held at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, running March 9-14. First-round games begin Tuesday, March 9, and the league will crown its champion on Sunday, March 14.

Indiana is moving ahead with a significant step in the long-term upkeep of Memorial Stadium, as the universitys Board of Trustees Executive Committee unanimously approved a $40 million renovation plan for the west bowl. The work is aimed at modernizing one of the stadiums most visible fan spaces, with upgrades designed to address infrastructure needs that have built up over time.
The project will add and renovate restroom and concession facilities, including 225 new bathrooms, while also updating existing spaces to meet ADA standards.
