Up front, the attention turns to Bray Lynch, who is stepping into standard center duties. Cignetti said he has complete trust in Lynch’s mind and his consistency with the snap. And offensively, the mission remains the same: build the run game and make it a defining part of the identity.
Special teams should be steady as well, with kicker Nico drawing a comparison from Cignetti to his record setting former kicker at JMU because of his focus and consistency.
Indiana heads into the game in good shape health-wise, with Gibbs the only player listed as questionable. And with a predicted sellout crowd expected, Cignetti made his pitch to the fans plainly: he wants the place loud from the first kickoff, because in his mind a raucous home crowd is worth two touchdowns.
