Curt Cignetti’s recruiting run is showing no signs of slowing down.
After landing Lawrence North wide receiver Monshun Sales in July - a commitment that made Sales the first 5-star commit in Indiana football history and beat out finalists Ohio State, Alabama, Texas and LSU - the Hoosiers are back in the hunt for another elite receiver. This time, the target is Braylon Clark, one of the top playmakers in the 2028 class.
Clark, who Rivals ranks as the No. 4 wide receiver and No. 10 overall player in the 2028 recruiting class, recently narrowed his list to 12 schools. Indiana made the cut, joining Ohio State, LSU, Tennessee, Miami (FL), Texas, Alabama, Oregon, Clemson, Texas A&M, South Carolina and USC.

Clark brings the kind of frame and production that keeps powerhouse programs coming back. Listed at 6-foot-3 and 195 pounds, he plays at Providence Day School in Charlotte, North Carolina, and has already stacked up strong numbers.
As a sophomore last fall, he caught 65 passes for 1,093 yards and 12 touchdowns. That followed a freshman season at Charlotte Day School, where he finished with 38 receptions for 578 yards and 4 touchdowns before transferring to Providence.
Through three games this season, he’s opened with 15 catches for 289 yards and 3 touchdowns.
The visit calendar is already starting to take shape. Clark was in Baton Rouge for Week 1 to see LSU beat Clemson 51-10, and he has trips lined up to Ohio State on November 7, Oregon on November 14, and Ohio State again on November 28. For Indiana, the next step is clear: getting an official visit to Bloomington on the books.
Clark is still early in the 2028 cycle, so this won’t be a quick decision. He’ll spend the coming months making rounds to his finalists while continuing his junior season, then eventually start trimming the field. Indiana will be hoping it stays in the picture when that happens.
The Hoosiers are still looking for their first 2028 wide receiver commit, with 4-star quarterback Lukas Prock currently their only pledge in the class. In 2027, though, Indiana has already built receiver momentum with commitments from 5-star Monshun Sales, 4-star Branden Sharpe and 3-star Jordan Carrasquillo.
That’s part of a bigger recruiting surge for Cignetti. Indiana’s 2027 class is ranked No. 29 nationally by Rivals, giving him back-to-back Top-30 classes. And with Clark now on the board of finalists, the Hoosiers have another chance to keep the momentum rolling.
