Houston Texans Look to Strengthen Offense with Foster Moreau Signing
In an effort to enhance their offensive line, the Houston Texans are set to sign veteran tight end Foster Moreau. Known for his blocking prowess, Moreau brings valuable experience to the Texans' roster.
Originally drafted by the Las Vegas Raiders in the fourth round, Moreau spent the past three seasons with the New Orleans Saints under a three-year, $12 million contract. Last season, he appeared in 11 games, recording seven receptions for 59 yards, though he didn't find the end zone.
At 28, Moreau has accumulated 151 career receptions for 1,772 yards and 18 touchdowns. His standout year was in 2022 with the Raiders, where he caught a career-high 33 passes. Two years prior, he posted an impressive 32 receptions for 413 yards and five touchdowns.
Moreau's journey has been marked by resilience. During a routine physical with the Saints, he was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma after team doctor John Amoss identified an enlarged lymph node. Following successful treatment and achieving full remission, Moreau signed with New Orleans.
With Moreau's addition, the Texans aim to bolster their offensive capabilities, benefiting from his experience and tenacity on the field.
