Simone Biles says a car theft at her Chicago home pushed her and Jonathan Owens to bring a Doberman into the house for protection.
On TikTok this week, the Olympic gold medalist said three masked men stole her Porsche during the final months she and Owens were living in Chicago. In the Monday, Sept. 21, clip, Biles said, "Feel like I need a new car because during our last few months in Chicago, three men in mask[s] came to our house and stole my Porsche," Biles said. "Stole the GTS."
She added, "But that's another story. If you guys wanna know, I'll do a 'storytime' on that.
I feel like I need a reality TV show. The things that happen to me are absolutely insanity.
And so it would be really easy for producers to just film regularly."
Biles said the theft was "one of the reasons" she and Owens decided to get their Doberman Pinscher, Remi. She did not offer more details about what happened, but said the car was recovered and that she and Owens were "onto the next."
While she was talking through the incident on social media, Biles was also in the middle of shopping for a replacement vehicle. She said she had planned to check out Porsche, Audi and Lamborghini dealerships, but the search ended at Porsche.
"Then we went over to Porsche. They had Cayenne GTS, and, baby, when they turn that thing on, I was sold.
I felt like Tiffany Haddish from 'Girls Trip,'" Biles said. "'Give it to me, I want it.
Give it to me.' So, we never even made it to Lambo."
Biles also said she plans to officially move to the Indianapolis area later, following Owens, who plays for the Colts. In an early-September People magazine interview, she said, "I’ve been in Houston most of the time, so I’m going to officially move there (to Indianapolis) a little bit later," Biles said.
"So I haven’t experienced too much, but the stadium is stunning. It’s beautiful.
I’m just excited to watch my husband.
"It doesn’t matter, as long as he’s safe and healthy and he’s having fun, then I don’t care."
