Tucker Kraft Still Hasnt Forgotten Romeo Doubs Wild Injury Reaction

Tucker Kraft's light-hearted reaction to a teammate's dark commentary reveals the resilient spirit propelling his comeback plan with the Packers.

Tucker Kraft has plenty of reason to remember Nov. 2 for all the wrong reasons. The Packers tight end was rolling through a scorching start to the 2025 season before a torn ACL in a loss to the Carolina Panthers ended everything in a flash.

What stuck with him afterward, though, was a reaction from Romeo Doubs that landed somewhere between heartfelt and unintentionally hilarious.

On “Up & Adams,” Kraft looked back on the moment Doubs tried to process the injury and wound up saying, “Tucker is in a better place now.” Kraft said he caught the clip while sitting on his couch during rehab and completely lost it.

“I was sitting on my couch, leg propped up somewhere, and someone was on their phone and they showed me that, and I just lost it,” Kraft recalled while appearing on “Up & Adams.” “I thought that was so funny.”

At the time, Doubs was still with the Packers, and his emotional response reflected how much the injury hit the room. Kraft said that support mattered while he worked through a grueling rehab stretch, even as he kept bigger goals in mind, including a sizable contract extension. More than anything, he wanted back on the field with his teammates.

Doubs is now with the New England Patriots, but Kraft is back with Green Bay and easing toward the new season. The South Dakota native finished 2025 with 32 catches for 489 yards and six touchdowns in only eight games, production that only adds to the sting of how abruptly his year ended.

And if Kraft ever needs a laugh during the grind ahead, he has one locked away: the day Doubs accidentally made his ACL injury sound like a farewell speech.

Packers Could Make One Veteran Move To Ease A Growing Concern

The Packers are staring at a tight end depth question before the season has really gotten moving, and the answer could come from an experienced hand. With injuries already thinning the room, Green Bay is looking at ways to add a reliable pass-catching option and some veteran steadiness, and a familiar name has surfaced as a possible fit once he is healthy enough to go early in the year.

Any move like that would be about more than just adding another body. The Packers want insurance for a position group that has taken some hits, and a seasoned tight end could help smooth out the rotation while offering quarterback-friendly production. For now, it remains only a possibility, but it is the kind of roster tweak that can say plenty about how seriously a team views a developing concern. [Read more 🡒]

Anthony Campbell Is Suddenly In The Middle Of A Packers Roster Fight

Anthony Campbell has suddenly found himself in the middle of a Packers roster battle, and it is not hard to see why the opportunity is there. The defensive lineman prospect has been turning heads in recent practices with active hands, pass deflections and a strong showing in one-on-one work, putting his name into a conversation that had not seemed especially crowded not long ago.

Campbells path has been anything but direct, with stops at Independence Community College, Louisiana Monroe and Miami before a stint on the Seattle Seahawks practice squad brought him into the league orbit. Now in Green Bay, he is trying to turn that long rsum into something more permanent, and the next stretch of camp will help determine whether the Packers have found a useful piece at a position where openings can appear quickly.
