Hill’s future is clouded by the serious knee injury he suffered in the 2025 season. He’s working his way back, but there’s no clear timeline for when he might return - or whether the same explosive version of him can still be there.
Even so, his resume still carries serious weight. Hill is a Super Bowl champion and one of the league’s elite deep threats, and his production has backed that up for years.
In the 2023 season, Hill posted more than 1,700 receiving yards and double-digit touchdowns in a dominant run. Even in 2024, when Miami’s offense struggled, he still finished with 959 receiving yards and six touchdowns. That kind of output showed he still had another gear that forced defenses to account for him.
For Green Bay, the appeal is straightforward: if Hill is able to get back on the field in the 2026 season, he could give the Packers the kind of jolt that changes what their offense looks like in the postseason. The idea fits the reality of where the team is trying to go.
Last season was a reminder of how fragile a promising year can be. The Packers started fast, then watched injuries wreck their momentum and chip away at what looked like a team capable of a deep January run. They already expect a midseason lift with Micah Parsons returning and bringing elite production.
If Hill were added to the offense and inserted into the starting lineup in place of Jayden Reed, even a limited version of his old self could make Green Bay’s attack a nightmare in January. That’s the kind of swing worth considering when the goal is surviving a stacked conference and keeping pace with the Super Bowl favorites.
