The Packers finally put a date on the reveal of their new alternate uniforms, and it’s coming next Tuesday, August 25.
A short teaser video posted by the team today offered only a tiny peek at what’s ahead, but it was enough to confirm the wait for the club’s “Rivalries” look is nearly over. The new uniforms are part of the NFL and Nike’s “Rivalries” program, a setup that mirrors similar efforts in the NBA and MLB. The NFC West and AFC East got the first turn last year, and now the NFC North and AFC South are in line for their own alternate designs.
Green Bay is scheduled to debut its new uniform in Week 5 against the Chicago Bears. Chicago will get its own turn wearing the new alternates when it meets the Packers on Christmas.
The Packers have kept the details tight, though president Ed Policy offered a couple of cryptic clues last fall. In November 2025, he said the uniforms were “not based on a historic uniform, but is inspired by one of the most unique and defining pieces of Packers history,” and later this spring added that “this truly alternate uniform will celebrate owners and emphasize our uniqueness.”
The teaser itself doesn’t give away much. There are just two quick looks at what appears to be a player, possibly or probably Jordan Love, walking away from the camera. The clearest detail is footwear: light-colored shoes, either white or cream, with gold trim and dark socks.
That does line up with a post from last month that confirmed the expected shoe colorways tied to the release. The Packers’ standard colors are green and gold, with cream and black also in the mix.
From there, it’s mostly educated guessing. One theory points toward the team’s shareholder certificates, which fit Policy’s comments about something tied to a unique piece of Packers history. The color combination on some of those certificates, especially the 2012 version, could point toward a green-and-cream theme.
Another possibility is a nod to the Cheesehead. There’s some gold lighting in the teaser, and the Packers now own the company that makes the most famous hat in sports, so that angle is still very much on the table.
A new helmet may be part of the package as well. Green Bay already has three helmets in circulation: its standard gold helmet, the alternate “Winter Warning” white helmet, and the throwback hand-painted faux-leather helmet introduced last year.

Packers Face A Josh Jacobs Worry That Could Hit Before Week 1
Josh Jacobs is back on the practice field for Green Bay after dealing with an injury, a welcome sight for a team that expects him to be a major part of the offense this fall. But the Packers attention on their new running back is not limited to football right now, with a league investigation still hanging over him after an alleged domestic incident earlier in the offseason.
ESPNs Adam Schefter reported that the NFL is looking into the matter and that discipline could come before the season begins, leaving Jacobs and the Packers in a holding pattern as Week 1 approaches. Jacobs has denied any wrongdoing and was released from jail, while the case remains under investigation, creating a murky situation for a backfield that was hoping for a clean start. [Read more 🡒]
Packers Fans Still Dont Talk Enough About This Lombardi Era Defender
Among the Packers greats to wear No. 46, Hank Gremminger still deserves a bigger place in the conversation. A defensive back drafted in 1956, he became part of the foundation of the Lombardi era and helped drive Green Bays championship rise in the early 1960s, a stretch that also tied him to one of the franchises most successful periods. He later earned Packers Hall of Fame induction in 1976, a fitting nod for a player whose impact went well beyond the usual name recognition.
Gremmingers value showed up in the way the Packers trusted him over time, from the ball production to the leadership. He finished his 10-year run in Green Bay with 28 interceptions and served as a defensive captain in 1964 and 1965, the kind of details that remind you how much of a title team is built on reliable, underappreciated defenders. For fans looking back at the Lombardi years, he is one of those players who helps explain why those teams stayed so tough for so long. [Read more 🡒]
Packers Suddenly Have A Week 1 Offensive Line Shakeup Brewing
Training camp has brought an unexpected bit of movement along the Packers offensive front, where Matt LaFleur said the staff is still sorting through a few key spots before Week 1. Rookie Jager Burton has pushed into the conversation at left guard, putting real pressure on Aaron Banks as Green Bay evaluates how the line should look when the games count.
The ripple effect does not stop there, either. Anthony Belton has been shifting into a swing tackle role, while Jacob Monk has been getting work at right guard and center during preseason activities, leaving the Packers with more questions than certainty as the lineup comes into focus. How those pieces settle over the rest of camp will be one of the quieter but more important decisions this roster makes. [Read more 🡒]
