Packers Just Unveiled A New Look For Their Biggest Rivalry Game

Experience the unveiling of the Packers' striking new Rivalries uniforms as they prepare to clash with the Bears.

The Packers’ new look for their rivalry matchup with Chicago is now out in the open.

On Aug. 25, Green Bay, the NFL and Nike revealed the team’s Rivalries Collection uniforms through social media posts, giving fans their first full look at what the Packers will wear against the Bears on Oct. 11 at Lambeau Field. Kickoff is set for 3:25 p.m.

The uniform design leans into a bold, clean presentation. Green is the base color for the jersey, with white numbers trimmed in gold and player names in gold across the back.

The “GB” logo sits in the upper left, in a placement that resembles the crest treatment often seen on soccer kits. The helmet is white with green and gold stripes running down the center, while the familiar Packers “G” appears on the side.

The pants are also white and carry the same green-and-gold stripe pattern as the helmet.

Green Bay first rolled out a video showing off the Nike uniforms before posting photos of quarterback Jordan Love and linebacker Edgerrin Cooper wearing them.

The release is part of Rivalries, a leaguewide Nike and NFL initiative designed to spotlight rivalry games with special uniforms and fan merchandise. The formal unveiling came after images of the jerseys had already started making the rounds on social media platforms such as X and Instagram. A since-deleted Fox News post with photos of the uniforms still appears in Google searches for “NFL Rivalries Uniforms,” including an image of Love and Watson in the jerseys.

The story is still developing.

Packers Linebacker Shakeup Puts New Pressure On Edgerrin Cooper Pairing

The Packers linebacker room took a notable turn with the addition of Zaire Franklin, a veteran who arrives from Indianapolis in a trade that sent defensive tackle Colby Wooden the other way. Franklin brings real credibility to the middle of the defense after earning Pro Bowl honors and second-team All-Pro recognition in 2024, and Green Bay is counting on him to stabilize a group that has been searching for more consistency.

Franklin is expected to line up next to Edgerrin Cooper, giving the Packers a pair that blends experience with upside. After eight NFL seasons and 738 total tackles, Franklin gives Green Bay the kind of presence coaches can lean on while Cooper continues to develop, but the real question now is how quickly the new pairing can settle in and become more than just a roster adjustment. Packers Could Find An Unexpected Upgrade As Final Cuts Begin

The roster churn that arrives with cutdown week is already underway across the NFL, and the Packers are right in the middle of the chaos like every other team trying to sort out its 53-man group by Sunday at 5 p.m. CT. Around the league, recent trades involving players such as Kayshon Boutte and Joshua Ezeudu show that some clubs would rather move a piece now than risk losing it for nothing, while plenty of others are simply bracing for the wave of waivers and releases that follows.

For Green Bay, that creates a window to get a little creative. Players who do not survive the initial trim will be available to the Packers either on waivers or, if they clear, as practice-squad targets, which means the final cuts elsewhere can quickly become an unexpected upgrade opportunity here. It is the kind of late-August market that can quietly reshape a roster, especially for teams still looking for depth and a better fit in a few spots. [Read more 🡒]

Packers Just Unveiled A Lombardi Throwback Fans Will Want To See

The Packers are leaning into their history in a big way with a new NFL Rivalries uniform that nods to Vince Lombardi and brings back a vintage green and gold look. The reveal fits neatly with a franchise that has always treated its past as part of the present, and it sets up a visual throwback for one of the leagues most tradition-heavy teams.

The jersey will make its debut on Oct. 11, 2026, when Green Bay faces the Bears in the NFLs oldest continuous rivalry game. It adds another layer to a matchup that already carries plenty of weight, even as Jordan Love has been spending his offseason focused on building trust with Matt LaFleur and keeping the Packers pointed in the right direction.
