Packers Game Reaches Most of the US in Week 15 Broadcast Shift

Packers fans across much of the country are in luck this week, as CBS prioritizes Green Bays matchup with Denver in its national broadcast lineup.

Week 15 is shaping up to be a good one for Green Bay Packers fans-especially those planning to watch from the comfort of their living rooms. The Packers' matchup against the Denver Broncos is getting national love, with CBS broadcasting the game to most of the country in the late afternoon window. Unless you’re on the Pacific Coast, chances are you’ll be seeing Packers-Broncos on your local CBS station this Sunday.

Kickoff is set for 3:25 PM Central Time, a slightly later start to accommodate Denver’s spot in the Mountain Time Zone. CBS has just one other game in that time slot-Colts vs. Seahawks-which means that outside of the AFC South and NFC West regions, it’s all eyes on Lambeau’s finest as they head to the Mile High City.

In terms of coverage, the Packers-Broncos game dominates the broadcast map. Most of the U.S. will be painted red for this one, with Colts-Seahawks filling in the gaps, primarily in the Pacific Northwest and southern pockets tied to Indy’s fanbase. Even Hawaii is slated to carry Packers-Broncos, though Alaska will get Colts-Seahawks instead.

And here’s the kicker-CBS is rolling out the big guns for this broadcast. Jim Nantz and Tony Romo will be on the call, giving the game that top-shelf treatment. That’s a solid pairing for a late-season matchup with playoff implications still hanging in the balance.

This Sunday is also one of those rare doubleheader days where both CBS and FOX are airing games in both the early and late afternoon windows. That means fans won’t have to choose between early and late action-there’s plenty of football to go around.

And while CBS is giving us Packers-Broncos, FOX is leaning heavily into the Lions-Rams showdown in its late window. That game, featuring another chapter in the Jared Goff vs.

Matthew Stafford saga, will be shown across much of the country, including right here in Wisconsin.

So Packers fans not only get to watch their team in a key road test, but they’ll also have the chance to keep tabs on the Lions-a divisional rival still very much in the playoff picture.

Earlier in the day, Wisconsin viewers will get a double dose of action as well. CBS will carry Bills-Patriots, while FOX rolls out Browns-Bears. All in all, it’s a full slate of meaningful football, and for Packers fans, the national spotlight is right where they want it-on Green Bay, with plenty of eyes watching as the playoff race heats up.
