Micah Parsons Tries to Lure Cowboys Star to Packers at Pro Bowl

Despite being sidelined by injury, Micah Parsons used the Pro Bowl spotlight to stir up offseason drama with a bold recruiting pitch for a Cowboys star.

Micah Parsons may be sidelined with a torn ACL, but that didn’t stop the Green Bay Packers star from making the most of his trip to the Pro Bowl. Rolling around on crutches and a motorized scooter, Parsons was all over the scene in Orlando-smiling, laughing, and very much in the mix. But while it looked like fun and games on the surface, Parsons had a little business on his mind, too.

According to Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb, Parsons spent much of his Pro Bowl week trying to recruit wideout George Pickens to join him in Green Bay. Yes, that George Pickens-the same one who just wrapped up a breakout season with the Cowboys. Lamb shared the story during an appearance on the Up & Adams show, and let’s just say, he wasn’t exactly thrilled to see his teammate being courted right in front of him.

“Everybody’s trying to recruit Pickens,” Lamb told host Kay Adams with a smile, before calling out Parsons directly. “He’s over here trying to take him to Green Bay. Not happening.”

And Lamb’s not wrong to be protective. Pickens just turned in the best season of his career-93 catches, 1,429 yards, and nine touchdowns across 17 games. He was a centerpiece of the Cowboys’ offense after arriving via trade from the Steelers, and his performance didn’t just earn him his first All-Pro nod-it punched his ticket to the Pro Bowl and vaulted him into one of the most intriguing free agents on the market this offseason.

So, can you blame Parsons for trying?

The Packers already boast a promising group of young receivers, but adding a player like Pickens would take their offense to another level-especially with the possibility of Romeo Doubs hitting free agency. Pickens brings size, physicality, and a big-play ability that would complement Green Bay’s current group beautifully. And Parsons, even while recovering from injury, is clearly thinking about the bigger picture.

He’s not the only one, either. Lamb also name-dropped Packers cornerback Keisean Nixon as another player who made a pitch to Pickens during the Pro Bowl festivities. Whether it was in the locker room, on the sidelines, or during one of the week’s many off-field events, it sounds like Pickens was a hot commodity-and everyone wanted a word.

Of course, Lamb made it clear he’s not giving up his running mate without a fight. The Cowboys know what they have in Pickens, and they’re not about to let him walk without a serious effort to keep him in Dallas.

Still, it’s a reminder of how the Pro Bowl has evolved. Sure, it’s a celebration of the league’s top talent, but it’s also become a low-key recruiting ground-where star players can mingle, talk shop, and maybe plant a few seeds for the offseason ahead.

Micah Parsons may not be back on the field just yet, but he’s clearly still playing the game.
