Jordan Love Stuns Fans With Unexpected Ranking Among NFL's Elite

Jordan Love defies early doubts, emerging as a standout NFL quarterback in a challenging season for the Packers.

The Green Bay Packers may have missed out on their Super Bowl dreams this year, but there's plenty for fans to be optimistic about. Sure, they didn't clinch the NFC North and ended the season on a five-game skid, including the playoffs, but the emergence of quarterback Jordan Love as a top-tier player is a major highlight.

Back in 2020, when the Packers picked Love in the first round of the NFL Draft, eyebrows were raised. With Aaron Rodgers still on the roster, the move was controversial, especially as Rodgers went on to snag two MVP awards right after. However, Love stepped into the starting role in 2023 following Rodgers' trade to the New York Jets, and while there were growing pains, his development was undeniable.

Pro Football Focus recently unveiled their list of the top 101 players in the NFL, and Love, along with safety Xavier McKinney at #66, represented the Packers. Love's performance during the 2025 season was a revelation.

He notched an 88.7 PFF passing grade, second only to a few, and his 5.9% big-time throw rate was just behind Matthew Stafford. Notably, he reduced his turnover-worthy plays from 3.2% to 2.6%, showing significant growth.

Love wrapped up the 2025 season with a career-high 66.3% completion rate, throwing for 3,381 yards, 23 touchdowns, and just six interceptions, resulting in an impressive 101.2 passer rating. These stats could have been even more impressive if not for a couple of missed games-one due to a concussion and another as head coach Matt LaFleur rested key players for the playoffs.

Looking ahead to 2026, there's excitement around how Love will perform with a fully healthy offensive lineup, something he didn't have the luxury of this past season. The future looks bright for Love and the Packers, and fans have every reason to be hopeful.
