Celebrate the legacy of Bob Harlan today as the community gathers to honor the former Green Bay Packers leader who transformed the team's fortunes.

Today, the Green Bay Packers community gathers to honor the life and legacy of Robert E. "Bob" Harlan, the former president and CEO who left an indelible mark on the franchise. Harlan, who dedicated 37 years to the Packers and led the team for 18½ of those years, passed away on March 5 at the age of 89.

A Mass of Christian burial will take place at 2 p.m. at St. Francis Xavier Cathedral in Green Bay, preceded by a visitation from 11 a.m. to 1:45 p.m.

Fans and friends will also have the chance to celebrate Harlan’s life from 3:30 to 5 p.m. at the Lambeau Field Atrium. The Harlan family, along with others, will share memories and tributes at 4 p.m.

Harlan, originally from Des Moines, Iowa, became a pivotal figure in the Packers organization after joining in 1971. His leadership, beginning in 1989, is credited with revitalizing the team both on the field and in the community. Under his guidance, the Packers reached the pinnacle of success, securing a Super Bowl victory following the 1996 season.

The Mass and celebration were initially set for March 16 but were postponed due to last week's blizzard. Today’s events provide an opportunity for the Packers family and fans alike to reflect on Harlan’s remarkable contributions and lasting impact on the franchise.
