For the Packers, the bigger concern might be what keeps happening around Jordan Love. Much of that yardage came after the game had already slipped away, and he still couldn’t consistently push the ball downfield or make use of his mobility.
That’s the part that has to worry Green Bay most. Love entered the game after completing just 52.1% of his passes, and the numbers keep pointing in the same direction. He threw for only 145 yards in the Packers’ 20-17 escape over the New York Jets in Week 2, and even in the season-opening loss to the rival Minnesota Vikings, Green Bay managed only 22 points despite Love throwing for 387 yards.
The running game hasn’t offered much help either. With MarShawn Loyd and Kaleb Johnson combining for just 17 rushing yards, the Packers have been left looking too predictable and too easy to defend. Without Josh Jacobs to lean on, the offense has lacked balance and has not given Love the kind of support that can steady a struggling unit.
Green Bay’s defense should get better once Parsons is on the field, but that won’t matter much if the offense keeps sputtering like this. For now, the pressure is building fast on Matt LaFleur and a 1-2 Packers team that suddenly looks far more fragile than anyone expected.
