DJ Moore’s move to Buffalo is official, but his wife Rae made sure Chicago got a proper sendoff first.
On Friday, Rae Moore posted a heartfelt goodbye to the city and Bears fans on Instagram, pairing her message with a carousel of throwback photos that captured family memories from their time in Chicago. Her note thanked the people who welcomed the Moores, including doctors, neighbors, teammates and fans, while also making clear the family felt at home.
“It’s been real Chicago! Going to miss everything this area had to offer.
Thank you to everyone who welcomed us with open arms,EVERY doctor that took the best care of my family & I. Those doctors who delivered our handsome baby boys, our neighbors, the teammates that turned from friends to family, the fans who not only supported my husband but also embraced our family as a whole and our MiMi!”
Moore said.
She followed that with another message of appreciation for her husband and a final shot at Green Bay.
She continued, "I can say the Moores definitely enjoyed our time here & did everything we set out to do. Thank you to my husband for always being HIM & being the class act he is.
You should be so proud! You will be missed Chicago!

That closing line echoed one last jab at the Packers, the NFC North rival Moore has long taken aim at.
The trade sending Moore to Buffalo came in March, when he and a 2026 sixth-round draft pick were dealt to the Bills for a 2026 second-round pick.
The family’s Chicago farewell comes after a busy stretch in early July, when Rae Moore shared highlights from a whirlwind trip that included Walt Disney World in Orlando, New York City and a World Cup match. The family - DJ, Rae and their three children, daughter Arielle, son Deeniston Oliver III and youngest son Oliver Chicago - spent time at the Disney parks and also stopped at the Disney Store in Times Square.
“Disney. FIFA. NYC,” Rae Moore said.
Moore’s final season with the Bears saw him play all 17 games in 2025, finishing with 50 catches for 682 yards and six touchdowns.
